  1. Where did you find the update on the dodge website. I cannot locate it myself. Thanks, Zack
  2. I had the same problem happen to my RT and when I called to see if the dealer knew what it was, he told me right away to bring it in as there is a fix for it and they needed to flash the computer. It has been a week and a half since they flashed the computer and no problems yet.
  3. Try looking at the mopar site: http://dodgeparts.mopar.com/dodge/journey-parts.html I was shopping for some Journey accessories and found this area where the parts can be seen and ordered. BTW, not too much available from Mopar as far as accessories.

    Leaking Sunroof?

Drains seem to be fine. Actually went through the wash again and can feel where the water is entering through the seal. Again, water leaks just as the high pressure hits the area, so it is a small amount for a couple of seconds. When I got home, took the garden hose to it and not enough pressure for the water to come through the seal.
  5. Best thing to do is to take that picture you have to another Dodge Dealership in the area and visit their parts counter. I am sure they would be able to order the part for you. I had a plastic cover break (thanks to the kids) in my Caravan, similar type of part, was trim on the seating. Dealership was able to order the part and I had it within a few days. Can't remember the cost, but was reasonable. Other option is to go to a wrecking yard and ask them if they have the part in a wrecked up Journey.

    Floor mats

Wonderful pics. I just have couple of questions. Are these mats made of a hard plastic or are they a flexible rubber. Also, I have the RT with Black carpets and White Leather, do these come in a flat black colour to match the darker carpets, judging by the pictures, the look grey. Finally, do the ones for the 2nd row cover the bump in the floor, and also is it still easy to access the rear storage bins with them in the back seats. Can these be ordered through a retailers in local stores or are they just available online. Thanks

    Leaking Sunroof?

Not sure if this should be in the interior section, but I do get a little water in the small trough in the sunroof area inside the Journey. I have had the Journey for 2 months. When I take the car to a high pressure, touchless carwash near my home, I get a little water in the trough of the sunroof. The last week has seen alot of hard rain in Southwestern Ontario and every time it rains, the trough has been dry. Therefore, only in high pressure car washes have I had problems and it only a very small amount of water. I hate the idea of taking it to the dealer as they may make the matter worse in trying to fix it. Does anyone else experience this problem with the sunroof or should I bring it in. This is the first vehicle I have had with a sunroof and I just want to hear from other Journey owners if they are havinfg the same issue, or is it an issue at all.
  8. I have had my Journey coming on two months. It is the RT AWD and has 2200 kms on it. In the first month, mainly did city driving and was in the 13.5 - 13.9 / 100km during that time. I have done alot of highway driving the past two weekends and have watched the milage drop significantly over this time. I am now at 12.5L/100km. It is not the best milage in its class, but it is very competitive. Not to mention, it is one sweet ride.
  9. I had the exact same problem with my RT. BTW, I have the same white leather and looks sharp. I had the feeling that when I tried to move the lever, it would not budge and I was going to break it. After some time I figured it out. As it is new, it is a little stiff. I tried to move the seat back and forth while pulling up on the level. It eventually moved forward and allowed me to move the seats. After doing it a couple more times, it loosened up and works great now.
  10. I have a 2011 RT with 2000kms on it and they tend to squeak a little when the car has been sitting a while and especially after they have been wet. Had a mechanic (not affiliated with Chrysler) friend drive the car and he said that it is normal especially after a rain fall that there be a little squeeking. He said it is only a problem it presists after a few kms of driving.
  11. Hey dodgemen324, when is the US going to join the rest of the world and move into the metric system. Just imagine, changing all the road signs to metric would be one hell of a stimulus package for your economy. Haha. Actually, FYI the Dodge Journey is Canada's best selling crossover, hence all the canucks on the forum. Thanks for the info on the 10% Ethanol in the fuel. We have the same amount here in Ontario and it never occured to me that this is affecting the MGP(L/100km).
  12. My Journey RT has 1800 kms on it and my fuel economy has been at 16L/100km, that is all city driving as I have not taken it out of town yet. Even on the expressway in the city, it has been short trips of a few kms. My wife drives the car most of the time, but I have learned that since the weather has been very hot here in Southwestern Ontario, she has been using the remote car start to start the car and let it cool down the interior for a few minutes before driving off. i asked her when she started doing that and it has been around the same time that the economy has been worsening. Having the car idle alot will affect the numbers for obvious reasons. If she allows the car to idle alot, that is where the problem is. My wife also waits for the kids to come out of school for a good 5 minutes with the engine running. Driving me nuts at $1.30 per litre.
  13. All of the automakers are having supply problems if they are getting equipment manufactured from suppliers in Japan. For example, Chrysler is out of Nav Systems as the chips used in the manufacturing come from the earthquakes zone in Japan. This is not just a problem Chrysler is having, but all automakers. If the UConnect parts are coming from there, they may be trying to find alternative suppliers who can manufature the parts for them. This still takes time for this to happen. If this is the case, it may be a while. I am not saying that the parts come from there, but if they do, it will be a while.
  14. The new interiors for the Chrysler vehicles are all a result of FIAT running the company. One of Chrysler's downfalls since Diamler and then Cerebus ownership was very cheap and hard plastic interiors compared to other companies. As it takes time to come up with new models for Chrylser/Dodge/Ram/Jeep and to import some of the FIAT models, Marchione (CEO of Fiat and Chrysler) ordered all the Chrysler models to be refreshed with new interiors until they can be replaced with new vehicles like the new Jeep Grand Cherokee, Chrysler Town and Country and Dodge Grand Caravan and the new 300/300C. Journey will be redesigned for the 2013 model year as well as new small cars coming in the next few years, some Chrysler design and some FIAT design. Interestingly enough, Fiat is taking some of Chrysler Global. For 2012, Fiat will be selling the following Chryslers in Europe as: Chrysler 300 will be the Lancia Thema (built in Ontario) Chrysler 200 will be the Lancia Flavia (built in Michigan) Chrysler Town and Country will be the Lancia Grand Voyager (built in Ontario) Dodge Journey will be sold as the Fiat Freemont (built in Mexico)
  15. Thanks for the info. Will keep a lookout from time to time on the Garmin site for updates.
