  1. WOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOO pictures pictures pictures oh sorry 'bout that congratulations on the Journey Car will look great with the dark grey (I call it and the tinted front windows. As for the 3rd seats not being there. Just teather the kids to the cargo hold points with some cargo straps and to keep them safe put some bike helmets on them <insert CYA (cover your azz) Just having some fun/humor not meant to insult at all> Rob
  2. hmmmmmmmmmm we don't have ours yet but I don't like the shifting from 5-6-5-6-5-6 etc, Constant hunting = Too much heat =Hot Tranny=Early failure I'll be watching this thread for sure. Thanks Tool6996
  3. Hey Paul, the 99's and the 01's had the 4R100 tranny great tranny for stock, but not built for the extra torque from a chipped 7.3 PSD. I think it was in late 03 when the first Torqueshift was put into production with the 1st generation 6.0 Power Stroke Diesel either way I am sure the dealer will be looking after it Rob
  4. Tool6996, can you post a picture of the moldings so we know exactly what you are meaning. I can't get into the dodge accessory site for some reason Thanks Rob
  5. You Sir are the Super Sluth WTG!!!!! Do you know the version now and the version update I would think that the dealer would be able to update the software with the starscan tool
  6. Great Roxanne, I'm happy for you!!!!!!!!!! Remember to sleep at night (ya right) and no dreaming of the Journey (ya right) be sure to post, which I am sure you will, when you get your new baby. I know E X A C T L Y!!!! what you mean by the days are dragging by. I don't think I will ever order another vehicle Rob
  7. oh also, I was talking to the salesman taday and Yesterday Dodge sent him on a Journey/product training seminar. My Salesguy is a cop and is leaving the force and is selling cars. He said there were 4 other competitors there a Rogue????? Edge, Pilot and a Mazda something. He mentioned that the SXT FWD with the ESP did very well without the ESP he said the rear wanted to swing out from driving tight circles at a high rate of speed. He also stated the SXT AWD with the ESP was incedible he could not believe how well it did. He said as a comparison the SXT AWD without the ESP did better than the SXT FWD with the ESP Hope you follow that. But once he put the SXT AWD ESP on, he said it was THE BEST there. I was like oh that is great to hear ( salesman will always say theirs is the best) then he also mentioned that it was better than his unmarked cruiser and he is trained in pursuit driving. THEN I was like GIDDY UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just thought I would pass that on to you fellow members Rob
  8. I'll be doing a light tint oh and speaking of tint,.... you have to read this....true story off topic but kinda still I have 2 white 3rd generation caravans one is the grand caravan and the other is the short wheelbase model. The wife drives the Grand Caravan and when it is all cleaned up it looks very well and I also added a tinted lic plate cover, it looked sooooooooooo good and matched the rear tinted factory windows. Well it is dusk and the wife is coming home from shpping and driving and parks the van out front but there is an RCMP car parked at the neighbors house. So, the wife parrallel parks in front of him. Wife comes in the door and says the RCMP want to talk to me. I'm was like WTF? Turns out the officer tells me to  remove the plate cover NOW!!!! I said Oh, sorry, is there a problem sir ( yup, right here is where I am kissing his arse, as I do not need him to be trigger happy at this moment, he is going through dounut withdrawl). His reply was  :talkhand: yes, if you do not remove the cover now, I will write you a citation, remove the cover. No problem sir, I'll do it right now. Now remember my baby/truck, the side windows are.............. tinted So off to the garage I go only to realize, the tools that are needed are in the back of the truck, very quickly (wife is yelling ROB, HE'S WAITING )I grab the tools and head out front to remove the cover. I take the cover off and the officer says :talkhand: I'll take that,.... there was a pause on my part and I was thinking, LIKE F'IN HELL YOU ARE TAKING IT, YOU'LL JUST USE IT ON YOUR OWN POS!!!!! So I told him I would throw it out. The officer says :talkhand: do it now and I started to walk toward the garbage can ,........yup, stupid me ,..... in the back,.... where the truck is ,.... with an RCMP officer right behind me , oh boy hope he doesn't see the truck!!!!!!!!!! take it to the garbage and throw it out, he then says to me, :talkhand: break it. So I broke it and proceeded to distract him from looking at the truck and he leaves :whew: . Back to Canadian Tire I went and got another one 3 days later he was a bad man and he scared me lesson learned,.... don't let the wife drive hope you all had a laugh cause at the time I was ready to change my shorts. Well went to the dealer today after work and no change firm ship date April 23 may be a typo and supposed to be shipped April 24th and the wife calls me Mr. Impatient can't figure out why tick tick tick tick tick Rob
  9. That was going to be my choice of color/int. Looks very very nice hope you sleep tonight, and no dreaming of your Journey either pictures please when you get it Rob
  10. Ya the 3.5 with the 6 speed autostick is sealed. I think cause it is a new tranny maybe???? I know Ford did that with the new Torqueshift behind the 6.0 Diesel when they both came out. There was a tag that stated, Replace transmission, Do not service/repair. Ford did this in there first model year of the torqueshift <-- I think that is what they called it. I am not worried if it goes, that is what the warranty is for. Guess they can't say "Did you check the transmission fluid If they did say that though, I think I would take elsewhere. Rob
  11. Hey Paul, I was on another site www.allpar and a wiser man mention he thinks it is 5 on 114 and +35 offset, just like the calibers and avengers. I do want to be sure first before I look at some other wheels Rob
  12. sorry Ben, I should have been a little clearer, I'm bad. If the SXT AWD and the R/T come with the 19" wheels from factory putting 16" wheels on may be an issue if the brakes are larger. Outside edge of the caliper may rub the inside of the 16" wheel. sorry about that, my mystake Rob
  13. Geez Paul, sorry about that I posted in your thread and didn't even say Hi, sorry buddy. Welcome to the forum Paul and hope you post often. You'll have to post a pic or 2 of the lifted beast B) Rob
  14. Hey Rick, cool you have the Nav too I was hoping someone else did too. Dealership mentioned that cause of the Nav system, there is a delay in ordering. I was also hoping that mine was just being pushed through without the nav. Frig you got that loaded up like ours. We have the sunroof as well but other than that, exact Rob
  15. You car is BRAND NEW, there better not be a charge. Clicking on turns may indicate CV joints. Keep us posted either way, good luck. Rob
  16. who here has ordered the Navigation system on their Journey? And, who bought theirs off the lot with Navigation. Running down some VIN's to see what Journey got the Nav system. All the VIN's I have so far about 35 are non Nav units Thanks for your help Rob
  17. I found out that the Caliber SRT4 wheels are 5 on 114 Now to find out what the Journey is anyone find out this yet???? Caliber SRT4 Wheels B) \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/
  18. :slapfight: hehehe mine is the 23rd so you 2 are already a dollar short and a day late Rob-----> :slapfight: <---------- Rick & Keith Rob
  19. I took our test drive car with the 19" Kumho's and was impressed in the deep snow in the back alley, grabbed traction and took off very well. I think the brake rotors are the same diameter aren't they? if they are, I can not see why the 16's would not fit on the SXT AWD or the R/T Rob
  20. ya she paid the salesman off Glad you are rubbing it in Angie. Just makes it more exciting for when ours come in. Rick, Keith and myself have a little gentlemans bet going on to see who will get theirs first I have heard that orders will be slower now as the Jorney becomes more popular I hear 2 months on order wait, I've damn near waited that long already Rob
  21. Yes Angie, I did down load the owners manual from Dodge.com (it's a PDF File) all 523 pages a great read to help pass time while waiting for the Journey to come in. Thanks for the info about being built for the customer. The salesmanager where we bought ours, marked on our work order with a line above and below SAVE STICKER in black permanent marker. Angie, what did you order? color & options Rob
  22. thanks your all heart buddy :slapfight: still snowing hows the 20+ degrees down East? Rob
  23. This will be our first new Dodge, and this is our 6th Dodge, all others were caravans/voyagers still have 2 caravans Rob
  24. Hey Angie, you were asking about tinting the Journey windows, well my truck (just above) has had the driver's and passenger's window done since I owned the truck and never had an issue of being stopped,........... YET!!!!!!!! knock on wood. we live in an area that has alot of squad cars running around with no issues. we are excited for you guys too Rob
  25. that is what we are going to do too. Movie night with the kids in the driveway/garage kids can be in the very back and mom and Dad in the second row. Sitting in the 2nd row will give me an idea how comfy those seats will be. As for tinting it is very controversal here in Alberta. I find the RCMP will pull over a lowered pimped out POS car first before a family car. I want to do mine like the truck is. Just a nice subtle tint, not too dark. My EX RCMP friend says it is not the fact of how dark it is but it does sway the officer to pull you over more if they are dark. It is because it changes the itegritty of the glass. Safety glass breaks into small 1/8" squares and falls away from the vehicle most times. With the film on the windows, the glass still shatters but stays intact. (he has his 2008 F350 crewcab side windows with a slight tint too. Just don't go too dark and I think ( I THINK) you may be OK. I am happy that you are "excited just like the kids", right on Rob
