  1. Is this a joke? or have you really never experienced this in any car, truck or van before? This is normal.
  2. Okay...I apologize if this has been mentioned already as I didn't read all the posts due to my frustrating experience regarding shakes...2+ yrs with no fix. I changed Dealers and they felt the vibration at highway speeds (wheel shakes and ass shakes)...they replaced a bad brake caliper, all rotors and then moved a bad tire to the rear. 98% fixed. I am sure it would be 100% if I buy better tires. Hope this helps. I still have bad trans shifts though.
  3. Any updates? Is it still smooth. I have had my Journey 6-speed Auto since June 2008 with tranny shifting issues. Flashed a number of times with no luck. Possibly this is a newer flash than I currently have. I lost hope months ago but you are giving me new light (I hope). Let me know soon so I don't light the vehicle on fire to remove my misery. Thanks.
  4. Did you return it early? I have a 4 year lease and want to return mine now. Please let me know how. Thanks.
  5. I am now getting a squeak on the front passenger side....squeaks when the suspension is in motion....hope I can get a fix. Anyone else had this squeak?
  6. I have a 7 seater...It is nice to have the option. The back row is for kids or midgets only and better hope you don't have any baggage to bring with you.
  7. I think this proves that they know the 6 speed tranny is a piece of crap. Also The Canadian powertrain Warranty has always been 5/100,000 kms at least yours is 160,000 kms. (100k miles). Looks like they reduced your bumper to bumper down th 36k miles from 6ok miles. Canadian Warranty During this period of restructuring, the Canadian Government will be guaranteeing the warranty on new Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles sold after April 7, 2009. All 2009 Chrysler, Jeep ® and Dodge vehicles are backed by a 5-year or 100,000-kilometre* fully transferable Powertrain Warranty with $0 deductible, plus 24-hour roadside assistance. † Basic Warranty coverage is for 3 years or 60,000 kilometres.* Rust-through coverage on all body sheet metal is for 3 years. The Cummins® Turbo Diesel engine is protected by a separate Limited Warranty, covering the engine for 5 years or 160,000 kilometres.* Current US Warranty Warranty We’re confident in our vehicles and we’re backing them with a new 5-year / 100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty[1]. The powertrain limited warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair a covered powertrain component – engine, transmission and drive system – on most new Dodge, Jeep® and Chrysler vehicles. Coverage now also includes free towing to the nearest Dodge, Jeep® or Chrysler dealer, if necessary. The warranty is transferable too, so if you sell your vehicle during the warranty period, the new owner will still be covered. Plus, our 3-year / 36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty[2] provides bumper-to-bumper coverage for your vehicle, from the body to the electrical system.
  8. I would try NAPA, Carquest or Pats Source.
  9. You will probably feel a softer ride and not so tight in turns. But you shouldn't be turning hard with winter tires anyway.
  10. I just picked up 17" steel rims from Apex in Oshawa. They cost $95/each
  11. Mine was re-programmed/flashed many times. That the only thing my dealer knows how to do. i don't think they can use a wrench unless approved by 3 levels of engineering.
  12. Looks like you hit everything bang on. This sounds exactly like my SXT that I would love to get rid of. This is my first (and last) Dodge.
  13. That is very disappointing to hear. I was holding on hope that you would come back with a great fix.
  14. Short answer...Yes. About a month ago they flashed the PCM to the latest code. Since then I would say the issue is 98% better. (never will be completely sure the issue is gone)
  15. Hello. I just got back from a trip to a cottage. 300 kms away. I have to say that the steering wobble is a lot better but not gone completely. I noticed it more when pulling the boat up a hill or coasting down the other side. (about 100 kph). The tranny does shift better under no load but down shifting going up hill to maintain speed on the highway was a hard shift. This is my first Dodge....so far I don't like it and am glad it is a lease.
  16. http://sitepro12.sitepro.com/masterlibrary..._1024x768_a.jpg That's the one I have....nice and round. Curt Class IV hitch.
  17. Canada_Jay

    nice feature

Fold them in and backup really really fast....they might open.
  18. I did a test drive....I didn't feel the shutter (steering wheel shake).... and trust me....I was trying to feel it. So to recap....No parts replaced. They flashed the PCM with some new code. Part of the PCM update indicated a shutter/vibration at hwy speeds.
  19. No parts were replaced but the PCM was flashed...Tranny issues are gone (so far) and I haven't had it at hwy speeds yet to see if the shake is still present. They did say that one of the TSB's or RDR(?) talked about hwy shudder as a tranny issue.
  20. I just had mine in last Thursday..They did flash the PCM with some new code and .....from what I can tell so far..... The shifting is much smoother and there is no delay between 2nd and 3rd.
  21. For me it is the cooler door does open the first time you push the button. Annoying issues like the tranny shifts. Oil changes every 3k-4k not the 10k they talk about.
  22. They kept mine overnight to keep working on it. The good news is the shop foreman remembered driving it in Oct and feeling the shakes and tranny clunks. Fingers crossed that it will come back fixed.
  23. I am taking mine in tomorrow...if they say warped rotors they better be ready to cover it under warranty. I told them to replace the rotors three times before...now the Journey is past the 1 year mark.
  24. I installed a Curt Hitch and pull my 14.5' fishing boat (loaded) with no issues. I also pulled a heavy tent trailer 3000 + lbs...with no issues. I have the 3.4L engine.
