  1. [Yes...only the harness and the oil cooler
  2. If you think that's bad, just think about the Mexican workers at the Toluca plant building Journeys. I wonder if there toking on their siesta breaks.
  3. Yes needle nose will work. I used a caliber bolt to place in the pliers and it properly spaces the ends of the ends of the pliers to the correct distance of the piston slots.
  4. Mine also wore out early. My wife is hard on the breaks, the car is heavy and dodge used a cheap factory pad. I replaced the pads only...rotors were fine though.
  5. Where did you get the bumper protector? Ace
  6. Glad to hear it. I have 9K on mine and am quite pleased with the car. Hope you are as satisfied. Ace
  7. mine does the same thing. Usually occurs when acellerating from a standstill sounds like something inside the door
  8. We have the same color and love it. Wife wanted a DVD player and when the pulled this one around...we instantly fell for it. ACE
  9. Glad to hear you are okay Mary. The Journey does have a five star crash rating (the industries highest) and Dodge uses a ton of high strength steel in the car's construction. Again glad to know your okay...As an aside, if you happen to ever back out of your garage with the back door wide open...it will cost you about $1,600 dollars (US) to repair. Ask me I know. Ace

    weird noise

From a post on another thread. (appreciate the original author) The rubbing / grinding noise you are describing comes from cavitation within the power steering pump. Fluid inside the power steering reservoir sloshes during turns uncovering the pump inlet port that in turn causes the pump to suck air. Pumps make bad noises when trying to move air and hence the rubbing / grinding noise. Issue can be corrected by increasing the fluid level in the pump and purging all the air from the system. We developed the following interim service fix so take vehicle to a Dodge / Chrysler / Jeep dealer and ask them to refer to STAR Online case #K10403532. TSB will be issued in September. If this fails to correct the problem. Please re post. I want to fix your vehicle. Case Number K10403532 Vehicle Issue Owner complains of a honk, groan or similar noise while turning. May occur during right or left hand turns but seems to be more prevalent while making left hand turns. System or Component Noise,Groan,Honk;Customer Concern (No DTCs);Group 19 - Steering;Turn / Turning;Yes - Intermittent,Yes - Continuously Recommendation If this occurs, before replacing steering system components please perform the following Engrg-recommended steps (updated 7/28/08): 1) Fill steering reservoir to MAX line plus 4mm. 2) Using Mitivac hand pump apply 20-25 in-Hg vacuum and leave for 3 minutes (engine off). 3) Release vacuum pump. 4) Start vehicle and perform 5 lock to lock turns (NOTE: Do not hold the steering wheel at the stops). 5) If fluid level drops below 4mm above MAX, repeat steps 1-4. 6) Test drive vehicle performing hard left turns while accelerating and decelerating to ensure vehicle does not exhibit honk. 7) If vehicle still exhibits left turn honk noise, repeat Steps 1-7. (NOTE: If there is a large amount of air ingested into the steering system, this Procedure may take up to 6 hours to complete).
  11. I noticed this as well. They could have recessed the rails in channels and then you could have a floor mat. Not ideal situation now, but I am still grateful the second row seats slide back and recline.
  12. Neat tric Joe. Does it work with the non-evic displays?
  13. Try the Dodge web site for accessories in the owners area. I saw it there for 250.00. I am thinking about getting it also.
  14. I just had my low light come on and went for s fill up. I ended up putting a little over 17 gallons in it. I don't recall the exact amount

    Where do you live?

Hello All... I have a 7 passenger Journey SXT FWD in light sandstone metallic since July 2. Live in Bristow, VA USA. We also traded in a Caravan we had four eight years. It was still running and looking great, but the wife wanted to get car. I've had 4 dodges before all good cars.
  16. Sure...if I see any I will post. The Dodge web site has chrome door sill accents with "Journey" inlaid in the chrome. They look great. I will probably be getting them. BTW...our is sandstone also...great color. I just put door edge protectors on the back today. They are fit real well with the other black exterior trim pieces. I figured this would be worth it since the back doors open almost 90 deg and my boys aren't also carefull when getting out. I will see if can't post a picture.

    UConnect

I was looking on the dodge web site at the different accessories offered. The u-connect module is 250.00 dollars. I am considering getting one if it works like the factory installed unit. I have not confirmed this, but I suspect it is the same plug in module from the high end cars. Also, check out the chrome door sill protectors they have...quite nice.

    weird noise

Mine is doing the same thing. I've read on this forum that there was a TSB that addresses a wiring harness that comes in contact with the left axle and makes a rubbing noise. Mention this to the dealer and let us know what they say. I'm going to get under mine this week and see what is actually happening.
  20. Not sure if this is the problem, but you can lower both windows at the same time using the remote key fob. This is a useful feature if you are approaching the vehicle in a parking lot on a hot sunny day and you want to vent the hot air prior to getting in. If you press the unlock button once and then immediately press it again and hold it down, both front windows will lower until they are all the way down or you release the button. Maybe this feature was accidentally activated.
  21. I've had mine about three weeks and have about 900 mi on it now. Actually the wife has put about 895 of them on the car. I really like this car. I have not seen another on the road yet. Live in Northern VA.
