  1. Thanks for this info. Really helpful and may get the ball rolling for Journey owners.
  2. Living in Canada, there really much of an option for third-party accessories or a good pricing on OEM. I had to succumb to the: 1. OEM dark slate grey slush mats - which I find too light of a colour and doesn't match the dark grey interior - too small of a coverage 2. OEM rear cargo area tray - this time it's colour black and strangely doesn't match the colour of the front slush mats - I have a 7-seater Journey so these mats are really cumbersome and useless if you use the third-row seats. I don't use the third-row at the moment and I don't know where to store the gigantic mats in the car. I want to buy: 3. Bug deflector, but I saw the instructions and you need to drill holes on the hood. Skip. Plus using a car wash with brushes may destroy this deflector the way it destroyed the deflector on my friend's Highlander. 4. Those black 19" wheels, but with the stupid Kumho tire being the only option and, hence, ridiculous shortage and pricing will make it another skip. 5. Chrome Molding - saving up 6. Door Sill Guard - saving up
  3. If they tell us it's the way we drive, but we're all experiencing the same issue on the same vehicle....then why can't we collectively bring this to Dodge/Chrysler to tell them it's the way they MADE THEIR VEHICLE.
  4. Same here. When I signed it was 2.5% variable, but TD has raised the rate to 2.75% due to Bank of Canada raising interest rates. IF they keep on raising the rates, then the loan goes along with it.
  5. The dealer is unable to help with ordering the part. That's lazy of them. Why don't you have them get a VIN from the lot with that LCD option. From there they should be able to see what the vehicle is equipped with and if they aren't lazy enough to search, will be able to identify the replacement part. That's how I'm able to special order parts for my previous vehicle. I get a car VIN with the option I want and they are able to see what it's equipped with and what the factory part number is on the system.
  6. I saw in another thread that there was a Tonneau cover previously supplied (not anymore) for vehicles with the 3rd row seating option. The problem is that it's just a weird small flap that goes onto those grocery bag hooks. It's obviously only useful if the 3rd row seat is up because it obviously only covers that small portion. I was considering ordering one from the dealer, but I don't have the 3rd row seat up at all and will only use it when guests are in town. Otherwise, it's 99.99% down. So I guess for me it's useless. With that in mind, I sucked it up and got the stupid Dodge rubber-like cargo liner. In Canada, the dealer was selling it for $86 plus tax. They had a list price of $110. Wow. My problem is where to stow it if I need to use the 3rd row seats. Oh, well.
  7. I want to buy a rubber mat for the rear cargo part. I went to my local Dodge dealer and the only OEM mats they have are the rubber ones that was made specifically for models without third row seats. I have the third row seat option and I want a rubber mat that can either only cover the small portion when the seats are up or a a folding rubber mat. Anyone seen something good for their Journey? Thanks in advance.
  8. Just checking what kind of oil you guys use for your Journey and if fully Synthetic is worth putting in this vehicle. Thanks for info and feedback.
  9. Let us know. I did call Chrysler/Dodge Customer support when I got the vehicle to inquire about the iPod. They also had the wrong information saying it was indeed compatible by just purchasing a cable. I told him similar owners already established it wasn't. So he passed me to another division that handles the Uconnect issues. They confirmed again and when I disputed it, they said it's not a Uconnect matter and should be handled by the Customer Support. So I was passed back again. He finally said only the local service dealers will be able to confirm by looking at the unit. It's sad not even the people at Chrysler/Dodge are aware of the incompatibility. Here in Dodge Canadian website at least there was a small note saying the iPod will not work with the REU unit. It's somewhere mentioned as you navigate and really isn't prominently specified. You'll have to go looking for it. By the way, what is the Business Edition? Obviously an option outside North America.
  10. Regarding the iPod cable, if you have the REU model nav unit then it isn't compatible. Some say it's from the loss of outlet due to the separate monitor rather than having it built in.

Are you asking if there is a wheel cover hiding the lug nuts? If so, then no. The lug nuts can be seen and readily accessed.
  12. If it's variable rate, it may have changed since you acquired the loan. Unless TD is offering lower interest rates for the province of AB. In which case, lucky to be you.
  13. Fog lights are not meant for the driver to see the road. It's for oncoming traffic to see YOUR vehicle in the fog.
  14. Under what bank is your 2% finance rate? The ones in BC are from TD but it's now at 2.75% variable.
  15. This was a running joke. It was pretty funny.
  16. I answered the WHY on my second sentence - "I came from a sporty station wagon and with my wife expecting, we needed a more "mature" vehicle to accommodate the growing family." My review wasn't meant to be positive. It's just another insight from a person coming from another manufacturer. I understand why you would love it because as you said you've been driving a vehicle from the same manufacturer for over a decade. I was just comparing Dodge's design ideas versus what else is out there. I've owned the vehicle for a month already and I'm beginning to appreciate the Journey. I can't complain for the price of the Journey. Even if I invest in another automobile down the road, I hope to keep this Journey for our family "journeys".
  17. Thanks, Zac. I'm getting pretty used to it after a month of owning. Fuel consumption could have been better like the ability to shut down 2 cylinders when it detects city driving. However to sum it up, for the price of this vehicle I really can't complain.
  18. You guys might have this already from registering over at the Dodge website or in print via the dealer. The dealer where I got the Journey had no print brochures. Really. They also had other vehicle brochures but in black and white photocopy. I don't know why they can't manage to obtain actual brochures from Chrysler. In any case, here's a download link for the Canadian brochure. Best to right click and "Save Link As": 2010 Dodge Journey Brochure (Canada)
  19. On the Canadian Dodge Journey brochure: "iPod® Control – Connects iPod and controls with radio controls (included with Uconnect Phone(5) with voice command) (N/A with Media Centre 830N)" Right click "Save As": 2010 Dodge Journey Brochure (Canada)
  20. I did read they had an update for your vehicle. Will mention it to the dealer when I come in for the first oil change.
  21. Will save up for the this Extended. Didn't also want to add it to the financing of the vehicle. If I can afford it soon, will definitely take it. Thanks again for feedback.
  22. Can you guys share how much you paid for the extended warranty on your Journey. What was the warranty term that you selected and how much? Here in Canada I didn't purchase the Chrysler extended warranty that my dealer was offering. There was a lot and I think the highest plan was the Gold Plus which came with 120,000 miles, free oil change/tire rotation while in warranty, and rental car if the vehicle is in the shop. Price was ridiculous like $2,600 but I was able to haggle down to $2,100 and she pretended she couldn't offer it any lower because it was Chrysler's pricing. Then she finally gave in, but I still didn't take it because I didn't know how low she can really go and I can take it anytime while the factory warranty is in effect. How about you guys?
  23. I don't know why there's no part number readily available. Have you tried telling the dealer do a search via the part name - Tonneau Cover. How about if you try to print out the illustration of the cover over at the Mopar site? Dodge Mopar Parts Go to "Interior Trim" then click on "Tonneau Cover". The price and illustration is there - $282.00. Perhaps if you print that out and present it to the dealer so they can search from there.
  24. You definitely have experience in operating a heavier vehicle. I came from driving a car which was very responsive in utilising engine braking. I assumed this current heavy (compared to what I was driving) Journey just wouldn't want to stop as my rev would just keep going higher and not really perform engine braking as I expected. But with us having experience in having a lighter and much heavier vehicle maintain speed via engine braking and this Dodge Journey isn't, then I'm stumped as well. I just feel like this current vehicle just keeps on wanting to go forward despite having my foot off the gas pedal.
