  1. Received the disc yesterday. It's a two step process. One disc to update the navigation radio software and the second disc to update the actual map software. The first update took around 10 minutes. I don't see what changed. Maybe some bug fixes. There is still a problem with the East/West arrow orientation being reversed. The North/South orientation is correct. The manual is confusing as it says you can turn off the radio to interrupt the process if you need to and it will resume where it left off. I didn't interrupt the radio update as it seems to be updating the firmware. As for the map update. It's taking awhile. I interrupted it yesterday and it did resume where it left off when I came back to use the car. However this morning it did not resume. It's stuck somewhere and not being functional. Will see again later otherwise it will have to go see a dealer to reset it. So warning to you guys. Make sure you have at least an hour to spare to complete the full two stage update.
  2. I didn't realise they are shipping out a disc. The website is confusing. It said on my email "electronic delivery" so I was expecting a download link. Apparently when I called they said it's a disc. I guess it's free shipping then.
  3. It's out now for the 2010 model. Just checked the website and it said "just released". Got one for $149.00. Ouch.
  4. Keep us updated when a new Navteq CD has been released for the 2009/2010 model. Thanks.
  5. What does it take to have Chrysler extend the warranty again? Another class action lawsuit? Even with the extended brakes warranty, dealer installed previous parts. By the time I need new rotors the warranty expires and I'm SOL. Dodge needs a lawsuit for sure and I will step up when my time comes for the next brakes.
  6. I guess whatever part the dealer replaced on my vehicle wasn't the upgraded one then esp since my rear pads were kept. I will ensure to get on the case of Chrysler even after my warranty expires.
  7. When did they upgrade to larger rotors and pads? What model year? And can this retrofit into all the previous years?
  8. Wow. Not good to hear. I have a 2010 model and I don't know why they can't get their act together even for the later revisions. How do they expect to have repeat customers for their brand. I know this will be my last Chrysler/Dodge no matter how good it might look.
  9. I have the previous engine with AWD and averaging 15km/100L. So u can only assume the Pentastar will produce even better results. 50/50 highway/city. I do notice since this car is heavy that a slight change in driving pattern or bump in traffic and this will drink fuel like a thirsty elephant. The EVIC counter just starts to go up like watching a taxi meter.
  10. Thanks for the analogy. The dealer didn't want to change it. Sucks to have a cheap car with a cheap dealer.
  11. Didn't happen to me as well. Changed both front and rear rotors under warranty. Only changed the front pads saying rear are still good. What are the implications of not changing pads as well?
  12. I did the same and they replaced both front and rear rotors under warranty when the vehicle was a year old. Doesn't make sense. The dealer said the replacements were improved specs. We shall see.
  13. Can you elaborate on the transmission for your 2010? I have a 2010. The shifting is horrible at times.
  14. Hi. I'm thinking of installing an LCD Monitor that has a built-in DVD player on the back seat for my 13 month old who is still rear-facing. Does anyone know of any reputable online sellers that sell these kinds of electronics? I'm thinking of installation that just straps into the headrest and can just plug into the power outlet. Thanks for suggestions.
  15. Let us know if there's an update to this.
  16. Good to hear they took ownership of the problem and did something about it. Congrats.
  17. Thanks for response. Presets are fine. Oddly looks like a software glitch as my home address is bow back saved the next day when I started the car without having to save anything again.
  18. I have a 2010 Dodge Journey with the Nav Head Unit Model REU. Suddenly today I am unable to save my home address. I've been using the "Guide Me Home" feature with no problems since the day I got my vehicle a year ago. But now no matter how many times I get a confirmation that my home address has been saved, it doesn't save it and keeps on telling me I don't have a saved home address. Anyone with a similar head unit experience the same problem? Such a hassle to go to my dealer that takes so long to get serviced and doesn't even provide a loaner for anything.

    Floor mats

I'm looking at the Husky Liners but they don't offer mats for the 3rd row the way Weathertech does.
  20. There should be a way with a flash in the ECU but the way Dodge is handling other problems I doubt they have the decency to help customers out. It's too easy.
  21. Thanks Kyderr. I will assume the tire pressure remains the same.
  22. Sorry to hear about your experience. Crossing my fingers on my Journey which only has 9K KM and a long way to go. I read here there is a recall on the key fob on certain build dates as it can be removed. Best to search for it. When I find the link, I'll post it as well. Good luck.
  23. The 16" OEM steel rims will fit. The dealer I spoke to has done a lot of installs for Journeys that had 19" wheels but purchased for the snow season.
  24. I'm bad with drills. Any deflector that doesn't need drilling so I can easily unhook especially when going thru a auto wash?
