Since found my answer i'll post it here. Fortunately for me and sat cable ran from the rear to the front passenger kick panel. I did end up having to install a new combo antenna and purchase the cable to run from the kick panel to my new radio.

So I'm doing the 8.4 upgrade. I noticed that my antenna already has the lead for the sat radio antenna wire. While looking at the wires on various sites it looks mighty short. Is there another wire that goes along with it that I should be looking for? The diagrams aren't much help
