  1. What do you mean by "flush machine"? From the vids I watched, they say to use a Prestone cleaner & flush for 3 days ( 6 hours of driving ) before performing the flush. Drain coolant, replace with distilled water, run engine and heat for 20 mins, drain, and repeat distilled water until it runs clear. Fill with new coolant...
  2. Hey, Back again with more problems and $0 to throw at a mechanic. I was told that I should have a coolant flush done, and it's also recommended in my maintenance book. However, I'm hearing conflicting answers. I'm having a whole bunch of problem, which I'm not sure if it's related to not having this done. I have 122,000km and this procedure has never been done before. I have to top off the coolant about once a year ( 8oz or so ), but see a "grit" or sediment at the bottom of the reservoir. Should this flush be done? Is it difficult? From the youtube vids, it seems fairly straightforward. My reservoir isn't pressurized, and I have the cap for my rad. Would A/C issues have anything to do with this being neglected? Thanks
  3. Hey!!! Back again with more problems and $0 to throw at a mechanic. Can anyone help with suggestions or linked videos specifically for a 2011 Journey? Seems like the plethora of vids on Youtube are for everything else but the 2011... She's rusted beyond belief and I could probably put my finger through the bottom, with enough force. Issue after issue!!! Thanks <3 This picture actually doesn't show how bad it actually is... *** Is it easy to do? Will the parts come with instructions? I know I need to buy the gasket and RTV, but will it explain the process and where to put it, how to use it? Will I need additional tools to pry the old pan off? Do I need to replace the existing bolts with new ones?
  4. FAK... I just dropped close to $3000 on front rotors, pads & callipers. Rear resonator, front right axl, coolant gasket, windshield, oil, filter and safety inspection ( For registration purposes moving provinces... )
  5. They quoted me over $1750.... Another reason I'm trying to educate myself on the cost of repairs prior to being screwed over.... Thanks
  6. @bfurth : Yes... The rear is off, but they said that there are no adjustments and the whole thing needs to be replaced $$$. My tires wear on the outer edge, just in the bck, so I''ll be rotating them more often now, for "even wear"...
  7. Hey, My Journey just hit 104,000kms and it was suggested I get the spark plugs changed ( PCV ) with a fuel induction service. I would be going in for a routine oil change and tire rotation. 1) Do I need to do this? How much should it cost me? ( Please specify USD or CAD when stating a price ) Also, my alignment is off, and I was told that there are no adjustment options and that the whole alignment needs to be changed? What the heck is that about? Any details and info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!!
