2017 Journey rear wiper arm won’t lay flst
Airtray replied to Airtray's topic in Glass, Lighting, Mirrors, Sun Roofs & Wipers
NOS motor came today and all good. Couple things if anyone has to do this. 1. Get OEM as neither the aftermarket arm or motor fit/worked. Just my experience. 2. I’ve included a pic of the panel to show where the clips are. There are also two Torx screws at the bottom of the panel. There’s a matchbox sized insert also near the bottom center that can stay. Clips are very stiff and I’d recommend using the interior panel removal tools-great $8.00 investment. -

Just received and installed used factory Mopar wiper arm and it lays flat. Hallelujah! Wiper still swipes 2” below glass on clockwise swipe. NOS factory motor being shipped today delivery next Friday. Siding guys just left. Header piece wrong configuration. They’ll be back when new piece comes in. The saga continues……Enjoy your weekend! -

Thx. New motor seemed to seat just fine, and your suggestion is well received. I’ve no practical way to measure that presumed difference but it was my next task-just pop it out and put it back to see if it reseats differently. Thanks for the fast response and suggestion. I appreciate it. -

How it happened is I celebrated Mothers Day by backing into the garage with the hatch open. Wiper base hit the garage header, bent the shaft and pretzled the passenger side lift strut. So ordered a new motor whose swipe goes below the window on the clockwise swipe. Might be the aftermarket arm as part of the issue. New Mopar one is $66 and not happening. Waiting for a used one coming next week, $20 on eBay. If I was going 1 mile an hour it was a lot. And yeah, the guy who’s coming to fix the siding was kind enough to tell me I wasn’t the first one who ever did this. And he’ll cash his check for $460.00 next week or so. My full and unedited confession! -

Thanks - mine came with a 12” off the lot new and I’ve replaced the blade with a 12” since then. Replacement arm same as original and depth from bottom of arm to body the same. -
Now middle of April here in NW PA. Maybe divine intervention but no more cold air on passenger side. Looked through old records and is brought this problem to a local dealer when it was still under warranty 6 years ago. I’d thought it was the blend air doors and thru said no, and couldn’t find anything. That said, it’s still heat every day here so I’m waiting for a week or so of using the A/C to see if there’s anything wrong there. Thanks to all for your comments. This is a great place to learn.

Same issue, 2017 Crossroad Plus, 3.6, AWD. Wondering if it’s time to go. Just began daily routine of hot on driver side, cold on passenger side. 90k miles. Unconfirmed estimates of $1,600.00 to replace heater core. Then belts and hoses. Hate to leave the car but it’s now getting to eat expensive parts & labor. Has anyone ever successfully flushed the core?

Love your characterization “brutally removed”. Honestly is still the best policy. Spent 3 hours trying to get the bolt to turn and it was frozen solid. Broke 3 new drill bits, 2 new screw extractors, finally cut it off at the head. Found a YT video where the mechanics took everything apart at the tailgate then realized the insert was glued in where the plate sits. Their ultimate solution? $12.95 license plate frame for a 2000-2004 BMW. Mine’s coming from Amazon Monday. Happy 4th everyone and God Bless America! (And all here as well!)

2017 Crossroad Plus w/3.6AWD. Just put on BFG T/A Advantage Plus and initially it looks like I’m dropping 2-3 MPG down to 23 highway. These are auto/light truck tires and are replacing the Kumho OEM at 30k. Headed out soon for an 800-1,000 mile round trip so I’ll have a better read on what kind of MPG I’ll be in for longer term. Got these because i live in NW PA and don’t want the expense of separate snows and rims. Tires have a specific snow rating and tread is aggressive, though that seems to be coming at the expense of a few MPG. Time will tell.

Brought mine back to HF last week, no receipt and no problem. In and out with a gift card (tax incl) in less than 5 minutes.

Been using Mobil 1 since 1976 in a new Chevy Nova. Many cars since then including my 2017 Crossroad Plus. Consistent over the 10 Chrysler products preceding this one, I get minimum sticker mileage though typically 2-3 miles mpg greater. I also check tire pressure frequently.
