  1. Well, the Journey has had the cylinder head replaced a week ago, and has been running like new ever since. I also had the power seat adjuster replaced because something was loose in there which made a knock every time I stopped and accelerated. While it was being repaired the dealership hooked me up with a rental...2016 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT with a 5.7L Hemi. That was fun!
  2. Oh good lord, that is infuriating. This is what happens when workers feel untouchable.
  3. I'm going to find out tomorrow what the build date is on that head. I will post an update!

Hello All! I just joined this site today. I own a 2014 Journey Crossroad. I have always been a fan of Dodge, maybe because my dad was always a Dodge guy (his first car was a 1969 Dodge Super Bee).
  5. Hello All! This is my first post. I own a 2014 Journey Crossroad with 43k kms on it to date. Last week I experienced rough idling and a few minutes after I noticed this, the engine light came on (solid, not blinking). Took it to the dealer and sure enough it's the same problem that has plagued so many Pentastars since 2012: cylinder #4 misfire due to left cylinder head failure. The part had to be ordered in from Montreal so it couldn't be immediately fixed. I noticed that there is a post about an FCA letter that went out to owners in 2014 about this issue, but it only addresses the 2011-2013 model years. So I'm curious if this issue is still prevalent with the 2014/2015 model years or if my issue is just bad luck. You would think Dodge would have addressed this manufacturing issue long ago since they sent a letter out about it in 2014. My appointment is this week to have the head replaced, so no biggie and the dealership gave me no hassles. From the sounds of it, once the head is replaced there are no more issues and it runs like new. I certainly hope so. I encourage everyone who has a Pentastar engine, no matter the year, to have any rough idling looked into, and please post if you have a similar issue. Cheers!
