My Journey is arriving in 10 days. I was pro-active looking for snows because of the odd size 255/55/19s. Just to let you know and hopefully save some of you time, the Dodge dealer couldnt find snows available. Firestone struck out, but Pep Boys found them from Tire Rack. I checked with Goodyear and they found four Goodyear Ultra-Grip snows. The other tire available is the Pirelli (zero?) snows. The Goodyears were around $210 each, and the Pirellis are around $196 each. I have run Blizzaks and Nokian snows on past cars. I have no reviews on the Goodyears/Pirelli on how well they are in snow.
Any recommendations on aftermarket chrome wheels for the stock 19" tires?

I got the 16" steel wheels with 215/70/16-Winterforce

Hi All,
I hope on putting this in the correct Forum.
I am the proud owner of an R/T FWD, no options other than Chrome Wheels (if this helps). With the colder weather coming, I've been using the remote start to warm up the interior (I know, I know... gas prices, yada, yada) prior to entering the vehicle. Rest assured this is only a 3-4 minute period... VERY little gas/noxious gases being emitted into our precious environment.
Reading the Manual, there IS a way to turn off the honk, honk if you have the upgraded stereo. From what I understand, you have to change the setting for the "honk horn while locking" option. BUT, if you don't have the upgraded stereo, how do you access these options to change this feature?
Thanks
On my RT you can change the settings with the steering wheel controls

If it is still doing it I would drive to the dealer while its screwing up & make them observe what is happening so the "cannot duplicate" issue does not arise-if it breaks so be it especially if they cant see you for a week

Left the lights on this weekend. Went to jump it off, and for the first time I realized that the battery is in the wheel well. How in the world are you supposed to get to it to change it?
Left wheel has to come off then there is a cover on the fender wall that removes for access if I looked at it right-a nightmare no doubt

Thanks
Off to the dealer I go

I have 26000 klm's & will probably need pads @ 30000 klms as my pads are worn also-but they are wearing evenly

I just got 4 215/70/16 Winterforce tires that are going on steel rims from my dealer- paid $302 US for all 4 shipped to my US mail box
I will listen to the chime & ignore the little light on the dash
The tire size calculator says the speedo will only be out by + - .5 mph which will be fine as compared to the 19" wheels
Thanks

Just for the rims
I have snows already
Got them from my dealer
-
Picked up my 16' rims today-$480.00 taxes in
I said no to the tire pressure valve stems as I will drive around in the winter with the light on -on the dash- not worth $300 for something that was not necessary until 2008(another government BS move) along with Ontario's Etest cash grab
I'm getting wheel covers from ebay that look like the chrome spoke from my 2000 T&C so they should look half decent anyway
Hopefully I wont need them until december

Where are you getting rims for $75.00 ??(what dealer)
I was told by my dealer they are $110 so you better buy them while you can if they are that cheap
I will get a set from them if its true
Thanks Larry

20000 klms & the 1st problem on my RT is the driver side window "xpress up" no longer works & because I'm used to it its a pain in the butt
Taking to the dealer tomorrow to find a fix-so I guess I cant complain

Mirano is a great vehicle but is far more money than the top of the line Journey RT
The Edge Ltd is also more money than the RT
If I was going to spend $ 50000 on a vehicle it would be a Buick Enclave without hesitation in my opinion a great SUV
