It took me 5 tries to RESET the oil change indicator as per the manual but I was finally successful you would think it would be fairly simple but NO
-
I took both bars off dont use them anyway

Just got back from Myrtle Beach
94* or better everyday-air conditioning is great especially the Auto function
It ran great averaged 24.4 mpg-4 people luggage & clubs
No shudder at any speed
ONLY complaints-the seat is very very uncomfortable(leather) hard on the cheek and the BRAKE dust is horrible the wheels are black
Just changed the oil & it was more clean than dirty but I just hit 8800 klms so it was time for the 2nd change
-
5000 klms as of this am

Hi Rob,
It's good to have a tire expert on the form. Have you figured out the correct tire pressure to run in the Journey SXT with 19" wheels? I was thinking of running about 34 Pounds which is what I run in my Grand Caravan and for the last two years they have been filled with nitrogen instead of plain air. I have been thinking of doing the same with the Journey when and if I ever get it. What do you think?
Hope your wait is getting shorter!
Keith
I have the 19's filled with nitrogen & they are @ 34lbs

I agree with Car & Driver the leather seats are hard-& hard to get used to-power seats have less adjustment
The cup holders are also pretty useless compared to those found in any Chrysler van they should rework the design as you have to look down way down for your cup
I also dont care for the "high" panels on the doors as it is now difficult to rest your arm on the sill & the armrest is not that comfortable since they have taken away the old style tilt steering wheel
But it handles great & is very quiet & the info says I'm averaging 20.9 mpg @ 1350 klms
So far its been a pleasant Journey

So far mine does not "hunt" shifts beautifully-it is one tight vehicle & extremely quite

I work for CN & could not track the car # my RT was on and I think mine was offloaded in Detroit then trucked from there
If its going to Edmonton then it would have to be CP or CN once it comes into canada as I dont think shortlines are out there
Picked mine up yesterday

I switch every fall to snows on steel-it has saved my T&C wheels
I dont think Chrysler would change the braking system for an SE SXT or RT as it would complicate the assembly line
Snow tires are superior to any all season tire anytime
I pick my RT up this afternoon

You will have a hard time with the tranny as its a sealed unit with NO dipstick to check levels (which I do not like) has to be done @ the dealer
-
I'm hoping the 16" steel wheels will fit on my RT- that are now on the basic SE model with snow tires that will be close to the 19" wheels that come with the RT
Maybe a 65/16 will be close to a 55/19 in diameter

I was under the impression we got Sirius for a year also MORE BS from Chrysler Canada
-
Yes we Canadians need that minor annoyance & I hope it never breaks as I rely on it in my 2000 T&C
Now if it would just arrive @ my dealer-I could have walked to Michigan & picked it up by now
The wait continues

Everything works for US customers-fortunately or unfortunately
-
I gave a $500.00 deposit when I ordered minw
-
Mine was supposed to be dropped off yesterday BUT it was put on the wrong truck-so the wait continues
-
You are fortunate to live in the US
Here in canada there is no rebate the price is the price + you get lifetime powertrain warranty
Not fair really for the same vehicle
Enjoy your ride
-
I have the same tires on my 2000 T&C (16") and they have been great
I believe they come with an 80000 mile tread wear warranty but they are quiet & handle well in the rain

My RT is on a rail car went through Chicago on Monday so it is heading to an unloading dock somewhere they just dont know where
they unload vehicles for Ontario
-
If you look on ebay there is a connector being sold by a dealer in NC for $40?? that is supposed to make it compatible with Ipod's it gives you the radio codes that it works with & I believe it is Mopar as you get a 1yr warranty
-
Niagara-on-the-lake
Ontario
Have an RT on the way
-
Very nice
I have one on order & its on a rail car headed my way
How is the owners manual for explaining & detail?
From what I've seen on SXT's there is no Tranny dipstick & that concerns me as we dont have the "Lifetime Powertrain" warranty here in good rip us off Canada
Low gas warning at less than 2 gallons???

Thats exactly what mine did on my recent trip to Myrtle Beach-said 33 miles then just Low Fuel gave ma an uneasy feeling so we gassed up right away
