  1. I'm finding the bin behind the driver's seat filled with 1-5 inches of water. The deal has no idea how this is happening. I spent the entire day waiting for my car - to no avail. Nothing was resolved. I also have a ticking/revving noise coming from the engine - it's been 3 months, and getting progressively worse. I brought it in in july, and they said it was normal. Now they say it's resolved, and it was caused b/c my oil was low and they did an oil change- it's not resolved.
  2. the same thing has happened to us in our 09 journey as well. We actually took it to the dealer but they say they couldn't duplicate the problem., nor could they find any thing wrong. So I guess we'll wait and see
  3. Yeah the OEM Kumho's suck. We have had a few snow storms and the Kumhos get zero traction. Once you get going they seem o.k. but getting started is rough. Going to try and make it through this winter because we plan on buying new rims this spring, then we'll use the stock rims with dedicated snow tires.
  4. I have no insight about these but I saw someone else posted them on the board and said he was going to give them a shot. Do your research first before buying. http://www.scc-chain.com/Traction%20Pages/Trac_SZ6.html
  5. Looks really good. What size are the rims, and did they come painted or did you paint them. thanks

  7. Welcome aboard. Greet looking color by the way.
  8. Wife drove the Journey through our 1st significant snowfall in Albany, NY. She wasn't thrilled. It's an 09 SXT FWD 17" Kumhos. She said once she got going it was great but starting off was almost impossible. From reading post in the forum I suggested she turn off ESP to start off then restart it once she was moving. That seemed to help a lot. She was a little confused with the ESP does the display of a skidding car mean that ESP is off or on?
  9. got our Husky mats on Saturday morning, and wouldn't you know we got hit with about 4-6 inches of snow. The mats are awesome. Cover a wide area and keep all of the slush, and mud right in the mats no spillover onto the carpet. My wife loves them. Probably the 1st upgrade I've bought for a vehicle that she didn't have a problem with. :D
  10. this is awesome. I am on a budget so I have to be mindful of that. But I don't want to sacrifice quality to do it. Maybe you know of a good brand that wont break the bank. I like your ideas though. Are you going to do a component set in the front and back or just the front? Are you going to use one amp for the speakers and one for the sub? Sorry I have so many questions just a little excited. My yahoo s/n is coolie569. I'll be on intermittently from work then again tomorrow evening. thanks a lot.
  11. Yeah my wife would kill me too if I touched her 6 Disc cd changer. I want a really clean clear sound that will still thump during those rare occasions when I am all by lonesome. We do have the 3rd row and wifey does not want me messing with her cargo space so I know space is going to be a concern. I have no problem going with 6.5's but I am curious as why you think I should change. Is it because there are better component sets at 6.5's? I really appreciate all your help and input. I'm excited to see how yours turns out.
  12. Looking for some pointers. I want a really clean stealth install. My plan is to upgrade all the factory speakers, keep the factory radio, and add a subwoofer preferably somewhere that doesn't take up cargo room. Would you happen to know what size speakers are in the doors and so on?
  13. I know this is an old post but I would love to see pics of your setup if you still have them.
