  1. Ok cool. I guess I should read my options sheet again and see what all I have.
  2. I have noticed on my 15 DJ just today that my interior lights are led. They are bright white with a subtle hint of blue. Not halogen at all. Is this what comes standard or did i get a free upgrade from the dealer.
  3. All you do is get the movie started, have the people watching put on the headsets. Turn them on, and turn the volume up. Ask them if they can hear the movie in the headsets. If they can then all you do is hit your radio button. The movie will continue to play through the headsets while you are listening to the radio or media player. The headsets should automatically be paired to the dvd player. I know mine were.
  4. I got my 2015 for $29k fully loaded all that plus the dvd, sun roof.
  5. Make sure you post up some pics for those that may like what you have done,
  6. Holy moly thats dark. But i gotta say its looks hella good to me. And you achieved that with plasti-dip. I had no idea you could see through it like that. I have to assume thats at least three coats. Looks good man nice job.
  7. Im starting to see more and more that the DJ forum is not a forum for those who want to customize. Rather speak on the good and bad of the vehicle. I get it in a sense. Some vehicles have an aftermarket platform that just goes with customization and doing things that others can appreciate. Ill tell the O.P. this. Do what you want to your vehicle. Its yours, you pay for it. Now days doing things to the vehicle that didnt come with it like Hids you will always get the nay sayers and the do it the right way guys will always have something to say. I think i heard something earlier about someone saying good thing i was taught never to look into headlights. Thats the friggin truth, there is a reason cars make auto dimming mirrors. Or have that little tab that helps combat vehicles with bright ass lights.Honestly you can get blinded by bright ass lights period. I had a F150 with standard halogen lights but in the right spot behind other cars i would always get the question if i had my high beams on cuz i was blinding them when i was behind them. When all it really was, was the fact that my big ass truck behind your little ass car makes my lights look brighter in your mirror. And when i owned my Acura TL with factory 4500K hid lighting would blind people head on just because some foolish people want to look dead into them. Sure you can always say use Hids with the proper set up. But IMHO its all on the kelvin of the bulbs you use. You get the closest to an OEM as possible and aim them right shouldnt be to much of a problem. Anything over 5000k is bright. So go for man. You want that look, then do it. Its not fake if you bought it. Make it work for you. Take pics and be happy. Some will hate, some might like.
  8. Looks good. Im thinking about going the led route myself. Just cant get around how dull the stock headlights are on the DJ. If you don't mind my asking what kit did you go with.
  9. LOL done that too. From California to Va in an Rv with no seat belt. My home boy right now has a restored but custom 70 something impala that has only lap belts. First time I rode in it we got pulled over because I guess the cop didn't think we had on seat belts.
  10. You sound like me LOL... this is supposed to be my wifes car. Her answer to me getting my charger. She gets a loaded down DJ. But for some reason im liking this thing alot. Cant say i have noticed that she loves driving my charger though.
  11. Yeah i have seen those. But the only way i would do it is if it looks like it came that way and not walmart strap on to the back of your chair with the bulky dvd player look. Well i guess i may have to be a pioneer. Im not to overly concerned about the headrest as the star safety feature as i feel the seat belt does more work to save me in the event of an accident. I can see that now, Me bragging in the hospital that the headrest is the only reason i survived my head on crash. Or my side swipe, t-bone or rear end collision. lol... ha ha. Thanks for taking the time to answer though.
  12. Thanks for the legal aspect of answering my question. I didnt know any of that. Now hoping to hear from others that may have done it, to spite the legal ramifications if its possible. I did see a site that had what they said were OEM dvd headrests for the DJ but it was for the 11-14 year models. How different are those years compared to the 15. I can find that out but has nobody ever done. I probably should have also said i never planned to cut up my stock headrests and put dvd players in them. Yes i meant to swap them with headrest units that were made with them in them.
  13. Well Im only 2 days in and i love it. I had to do a road trip up the road with my 3 year old son and gotta tell you was awesome. Normally i would've had to deal with my hyper kid and relax him and try and keep him from bitching. Thank GAWD for the dvd player and movies. Kept his attention for the whole hour and ten minute drive down. And fell asleep for the ride back. I mean it was so quiet in the car i almost fell asleep. LOL... Car rides smooth, the V6 is plenty powerful and didnt feel like a bigger vehicle at all. I like the journey
  14. Cool i been around there. But im way further south. Thank you all for the welcome
