bramfrank Posted August 19, 2016 Report Share Posted August 19, 2016 One issue came up today with a new member who ran into an issue reported as 'character limit exceeded', which I suspect is a 'feature' of the board to prevent a spammer from posting long rambling nonsensical posts. I further gather that after making some requisite number of posts (5?) the limit is removed automatically. This can be frustrating to new members and is probably not a defense against any dedicated spammer in any case, so I would suggest that this 'featue' might be removed, or that it be tied to manual approval as part of the membership authentication process, i.e. NO posting allowed until a moderator approves a mandatory manual request PM perhaps. dhh3 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
