andavaka
Hi guys, Does anyone know if these will fit my DJ and what's the best Tyre size to run.
Lobitz68
From what I could find by searching Google it looks like the Nitro bolt pattern is a 5 x 4.5" whereas the bolt pattern on a DJ is 5 x 5"... Long story short; they won't fit...
B4ZINGA
If you want to use OEM wheels from another car, start with WD Durango and WK Grand Cherokee. Those vehicles have the same bolt pattern and will be my starting point when I'm ready to source new wheels.
Lobitz68
There are a ton of options out there... anything that is 5 x 5" (or 5 x 127mm) and a high positive offset should fit. Depending what year you own, the caliper size will play a role as well. Here is a neat little tool that will get you a start on a list of OEM wheels that should fit... just put in the size you are looking for and hit search. http://www.roadkillcustoms.com/hot-rods-rat-rods/Wheel-Bolt-Pattern-Cross-Reference-Database.asp#axzz3GoIMk21N Here is a list of Dodge wheel patterns... http://www.discountedwheelwarehouse.com/Dodge___Vehicle_Bolt_Pattern_Reference.cfm dhh3
andavaka
Thanks Guys, I'm in South Africa and 5/127 is quite rare here.
Lobitz68
There is always the option to put a spacer on that converts from one pattern to another... There is also a jig available that would allow you to drill and thread holes in any position you like so you can use a pattern that is easier to get. andavaka
The convert option will be the best for me, thanks again for the input.

andavaka
HOk, I bought 20" Jeep Cherokee mags which came with 265/50/20 tyres, the front rubs against shocks and caliper while the rears are just to close the spring and will likely touch. So I have purchased 255/50/20 tyres and just need to find a place here is South Africa that sell spacers for the front. What it will look like: dhh3
tk-4
Guess the answer to my other post whether 20" Grand Cherokee rims will fit is "No". Agh - the search continues.
dhh3
I loved the 20" Mopar Polished and Painted 20" wheels I had on my Nitro. Too bad they wouldn't fit my DJ. I got comments all the time. No one knew they were factory!
andavaka
Ok just a quick updated, I an getting adopters fabricated for front to push out the tyre by 20mm and will be install 9mm spacers in the rear. andavaka
Spacers are now done and installed The wheel has cleared the caliper but the tyre is still touching the shock So I have to either get 245/45/20 tyres or make a new 35mm spacer This is what it looked like after 20mm spacer dhh3
dhh3
Your front tire placement looks approximately like mine. 255/50R19 mounted on factory Crossroad wheels. I wish that the weather would cooperate so I could take pictures. Want her clean!

dhh3
In the US, the 2 front windows can not be tinted. I like the slight tint to your front windows.

Agh - the search continues. 2005 and newer Grand Cherokee wheels have the same bolt pattern. Grand Cherokee WK SRT8 wheels are a fit.
