others on the forum have said that the 235/55/19 works. I looked at my 2011 front wheel well and there isn't much room to go higher or wider. Very close clearance to the suspension. With the 235 you will be going 60.9 mph when your speedometer reads 60 mph. It is 2/10th of an inch taller.

The 245/50/19 has a diameter of 28.6 inches vs. 29.2 inches on the 235/55/19. The sidewall on the 245 is 4.8 inches vs 5.1 inches on the 235. If you are going 60 mph with the 235 tire you will only be going 58.9mph with the 245.

I just got Toyo 235/55/19 installed on my 2009. It's close but clears. The Toyos are also a quieter tire.

I know I was very surprised and satisfied when I installed 225/50/R16 Toyo Proxe 4's on my PT Cruiser.

we replaced ours with 235/50/R19. There is no problem with rubbing on this slightly wider tire.

Good to know, will keep this in mind when it comes time to replace my tires.
