tgraham1997 Posted June 24, 2025 Report Share Posted June 24, 2025 I have a 2019 journey 2.4l with about 98xxx miles. I hit a deer last October, and 7 months later, got everything fixed. Now had some trouble burping the coolant out. Maybe 3-4 times later, I almost had the bubbles out when it was a weird color coolant. I may have mixed different coolants but I didn’t really noticed it at the moment. I had to replace the thermostat housing and radiator in the process. Now I took it down to a local shop to see if they can burp it out correctly and the journey had this white sludgy material in the coolant. It never over heated. For 7 months it was parked in the garage. I got it back from the shop and they cleaned most of the terrible sludge, but now I’m just worried because there’s still some sludge showing up but nothing like it was. What could be the issue?? It never overheated at all. Still runs great drives great and blows great ac and heat. Any help would be appreciated. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
