Borjawil
2009 sxt. Recently swapped in a 3.5l as my 3.5l had issues. Had a #1 misfire and o2 code. Replaced o2 sensor, plug, injector, and coil. Recently checked and only had the misfire for #1 and random misfires code. This info is just in case it's related, though unlikely. So at this point I was using the intake from original engine. Other one was dirty. Thought a crack or other issue causing misfire. So I swapped donor engine intake on and replaced the gasket. Got a code for bank 1 tuning valve. P06xx code. Swapped tuning valve in rear of intake with the one on the intake I took off. Now I have the p1005 code. No misfire code as of yet. Ideas? Borjawil
Misfire code came back so that's neat. But looking around seems the intake itself could be bad or I saw that a short in a wire above the drivers sun visor can cause the code some how. Thoughts? In the next couple days I'll swap the actuator back to the original intake and swap that on with the new gasket and see if it's still and issue. My 3.5L 2010 journey is having the same issue, randomly got a code P0660 a while ago, swapped the tuning valve and got P1005, even tried switching entire intake manifold. Codes seem to change depending on what valve is in, did you ever find a fix?
John/Horace
That's a 5yr old link, member long gone. If you can get access to a smoke machine they are great for finding intake leaks. Swap all the seals first, then smoke test if codes come up.
