  1. Thanks for this instruction. I'm going to give this a go and see if it works for me... i have many problems with connect and apple products... iPod Touch Gen 2 (old!) = album track order not sequenced instead alphabetical, no album art iPod Classic = works well, album tracks in order, no album art, can't load music with apple music downloads (apple music only works with iPods with iOS 8 or later) Ipad Air 2 = via usb, album track order not sequenced instead alphabetical, no album art, can play apple music downloads = via bluetooth, album's tracks in order, can play album music, no information on screen at all. initial bluetooth connection can be spotty. can't charge iPad with usb at the same time as bluetooth streaming, so long drives kill iPad battery. your SD method, looks like i can get the same as iPod Classic, but with artwork... suck's that i'm without apple music downloads though as they are DRM protected. Obviously the best scenario is UConnect to provide an update for IOS8, but i'm not counting on it. IOS9 will be out next month (i'm already running on my iPad Air 2).
  2. for what it's worth, 1 week, prior to having the journey for 1 year, i just got the 'can't unlock maps' message. took to dealer, and yup, has to have a new one installed. go figure... i've had nothing but problem with the 8,4n/rb5 unit. although i got it working with an iPod classic, i never could get an itouch/ipad running iOS 8 (or 9, like i am) to show songs in correct album track order when connected via usb. always alphabetical. drives me insane. yet through bluetooth it plays in sequence, but doesn't display info on screen... stupid. anyone using an iPhone running iOS 8 have their album track order sequenced right when playing albums???
  3. for what it's worth i bought a black classic, and my entire library loads properly. I am not experiencing any skips. I've upgrade both the connect and the iPod had latest firmware. the only issue is the album art problem with the connect grabbing from gracenote opposed to from the iPod itself. which is fine for older music, but the new albums are blank. like everyone else if i turn gracenote off no album art at all. hopefully an upcoming firmware upgrade to the uconnect can fix that but not holding my breath.
  4. So you've been able to get your album artwork from your iPod/iphone to display on your Uconnect? I would rather not use grace note as it don't recognize some of my new albums, but when i switch it off no album art displays at all... Curious to know how you got this to work and what apple product your using and what Connect system you have...
  5. for what it's worth i'm using an older iPod touch 2nd generation and i've had zero skips or drop outs. however my problem is album tracks are alphabetical and not organized by the track sequence on the uconnect. I've been told that on the classic album track order is correct. i've not heard of other having drop out or skips though. i may pick up a cheap classic off eBay and see how it works with my system. do you have the issue where full albums the tracks are in alphabetical and not by track number?
  6. hello forum! just got my new journey with Uconnect 8.4N (RB5) and hooked up an older iPod Touch (Gen 2), picks up all artists and albums no problem. However album tracks are organized in alphabetical order and not per the properly tagged album track order. I've done some googling and stuff and realize this is common issue and chrysler/uconnect people seem to say this is an iPod problem. options to include putting the track number in the song title as a work around or making each album into a playlist in correct sequence. both these 'work arounds' suck and i don't want to do this. I've read some reports that older iPod classics may work and albums have the tracks in correct order on the UConnect. Can anyone here confirm this with the 8.4N RB5 system? If so can anyone confirm which exact generation / model they are using??? Thanks.
