  1. Wont be a problem bud. I have 20" Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT reps on my Journey along with 245/45's. I initially wanted 245/50, but they weren't in stock where I went. 245/50 wouldn't be an issue, but I wouldn't go thicker than that. Actually, when these tires are through, ill be changing them to 255/50's for a bit better handling. Side note: I run stock rims/tires for the winter, 225/65r17's.
  2. Either way, looks cool! Certainly a nice refresh! (if legit)
  3. Awesome, i'll be switching to synthetic sooner than i thought then! Just passed the 1k mark. I'll be running AMSOIL.
  4. Yeah, unless your taking your DJ to the track and plan on driving 100+, just going with a pad ceramic pad upgrade is sufficient (if looking for slight upgrade from original pads). This is combo with performance rotors can be a reasonably priced improvement.
  5. Wondering if any early '13 Journey's still had smaller brakes? I'm curious. My 2013, purchased March 31 of this year (left over) shook vigorously right off the bat when breaking at speeds of 50+. I changed the front rotors, and poof, gone. (Or diminished) Any thoughts?
  6. Brembo Ceramic pads are a nice and reasonably priced upgrade!
  7. They say not to run synthetic till after break in period is exceeded, 5,000k mi. Second oil change and on, fair game. I've tried MANY brands of oil, with emphasis on synthetic, and i can honestly say, IMO, Amsoil is the best. Oil of course, oils benefit/opinion can be fiercely subjective; but i did feel better throttle/acceleration and engine behavior with Amsoil!
  8. Noted, and likely will do as measure of caution. Thanks
  9. Came across that pic i posted from a Mopar page im friends with on Facebook. Seems legit. Although its ONLY photo around. Wont find it via google. It's a good re-style if so. My next truck is probably a Jeep Grand Cherokee, so I wont be able to enjoy this new Journey.. or perhaps...!
  10. They arrived a few days ago, just gotta find a minute to get em in! Here's a pre-install photo:
  11. Well, here's how it would look if your interested. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Quality-Hood-front-emblem-logo-car-sticker-letters-for-Dodge-Journey-JCUV-JC-2012-2013-2014/1729230398.html
  12. You could shorten the wheel gap by putting 245/50 or 55 on em. The jury is still out what tire size ill go with for my 20's. These 245/45's do look a little slim. @DTSGUY, you have 275/40's without any issues right? I might have to go 245/50... decisions, decisions.
  13. @likwid13 On the site, it says the wheels do "fit" the Dodge Journey. Jeep & Journey share the same bolt pattern. The offset is slightly different, but doesnt cause a fitment issue. In fact, i have these exact rims coming to me (purchased 5/24). I got the black/silver two tone set. Pretty sweet. Any for 7 n change for the whole set? (Actually $800 after tax) is a pretty good deal by my estimation. A full "set" of OEM wheels are hard to come by (especially the 19's, let alone blacktop version) Ive waiting and waiting to see if something would come along. I did come across one site, www.hubcuphaven.com -- which seems to offer OEM wheels for $229 pop. I had already ordered the SRT 20's at that time. If you happen to contact them, let me know what the verdict is. Back to 20's. If you search the forum, you'll see someone has a set of 20 x 9's paired with 275/40 tires, and theres no "stick out" issue. No fitment issue on the SRT replicas of any kind.
  14. SWEETTT I am happy to see that 20 x 9 rims on 275 tires dont stick out at all!! I've got 20's on the way and have been heavily contemplating what tires to get. 245/45 (many chose this size) seem to be too slim.
  15. 245/45 seems to be the consensus for 20's. Guess ill be going that route. 245/45's are standard on my Charger, staggered with 275/40 in the rear.
