  1. well of course he is going to see over 12 volts, probably around 13-15 with the alternator charging the system, no way to get around that
  2. You will see 2 smaller lines running into one end of the radiator going to underneath the engine Not sure what else you would need
  3. Looks like you would need to add a tuner then connect however you would like
  4. The doors can be unlocked because when you put it into remote start they lock anyway so nobody gets into the car, could be a bad connection at the hood pin causing it to think the hood is open or any of the other door pins
  5. Well projectors are completely different, I have seen that sticker on the driver's door frame and unfortunatey things are not very organized and that thread doesn't have a sticky so it is at the top of the section or a techinfor section for things like this
  6. looks good, make sure you get some pictures of the pattern on the garage and how they look in the street
  7. Check a place like AutoZone, they have a lot of the special tools that allow you to use the same things mechanics have beacuse someone always get the design and copies it
  8. In my expierence adding an up level item is hard, there is probably a module or 2 missing that you would need as well as wiring that isn't there but I could be wrong
  9. Yah but by the time you go to the trouble of pulling the headlights out to put the new bulbs in you might as well just keep them in and not have to do it again
  10. how long are they gonna be in the mail? lol I've gotten an entire kit from Hong Kong faster than this
  11. Yah I have a lot of expierence with them, I just made it easy for me and bought the pre-made harness
  12. Your building one? smart beacuse then you can make all the wires the exact length, just plan where you want to place the balasts, did you find plans for one? easy enough
  13. I haven't torn into the Journey yet but I like to just take out the entire housing when I put bulbs in that way I know they are in properly, maybe a bolt or 2, or maybe a center locking clip
  14. You know I never looked at the 2 side by side, you would think 6000K would be more annoying, maybe just depends on the kit, I see that some look just fine in reflector housings but some are extremely bright, you never know thanks I'm really looking forward sto seeing them
  15. Actually 8000K will annoy drivers less, the higher the Kelvin temp the more blue/purple the light output it, its reverse of what you would think 8000K is generally considered ice blue and 6000K is considered bright white the look is great but the pattern of the HIDs is different than that of a halogen so your light might end up scattered all over the place, when I had 9006 drop in replacements for my Bonneville there was light hitting the roofs of 2 story houses driving through my developement, just something to look out for When you put it in could you take some pictures of the light pattern, I had a 9007 hi/lo kit in the Caravan we traded in and haven't considered putting HIDs in the Journey because they have such a nice clean cuttoff line stock and decent light output but I really love the look of them
  16. HIDs take about 30 seconds to get to full intensity but they also do not like to be flashed on and off, so they are not good for high beams putting them in your high beams will burn out the ignitor in the balast pretty quick, basically it has to take 12 volts and turn it into about 27,000 volts to ignite the xenon in the bulb, also called a burner cus technically the gas is burning but just not reacting with oxygen if anyone remembers their chemistry you will also want to get a relay harness, that actually might take away the need for a stabilizer, this way the headlight connector only supplies a signal to a relay to pull power from the battery to get more power to the balasts and make them last longer another issue is HIDs have a different beam pattern so you will no longer have that perfect flat line cuttoff unless you put some projectors in (BMW/Acura style) just my 2 cents for the lowbeams I like a nice white/blue color so say 6000K or 8000K (K is Kelvin not thousand) those provide great visibility in normal driving conditions, and maybe 4000K for the fogs beacuse that will help you see better in rain and snow beacuse it is more of a yellow color one other thing to watch out for when putting the HIDs in the fogs is when you turn your high beams with the fogs on the fogs will be turned offf because it is illegal to drive with more than 4 bulbs on at one time I have done tons of HID kits so I will try to be around more to answer and questions you guys might have
  17. yep, you can change any time you want between the 2
  18. there would be maybe a combination of flexible and hard lines running from the transmission to the radiator, you are talking about a transmission oil cooler right? Beucase some cars do have engine oil coolers like my Bonneville
  19. x2 on that, I know our old Caravan had a sensor in the seat that if a person under 40 lbs. sat in the seat that it would disable the passenger airbag, not sure if the Journey has it
  20. It's a pretty universal tool I think, AutoZone should have it
  21. don't push too hard or you will break the caliper! you need the turning tool
  22. different body styles might not fit the tubing in
  23. If it stays on for a day or so check all the tires again when they are cold, meaning you haven't driven it for a few hours, after diriving the pressure will read higher
