    Hi Journeyman, Just wanted to send you a quick question on a threadthat closed earlier this year in regards to changing out  a headlight switch and converting it to an auto setup.  I switched the switched to an auto version and tested the automode.  Is it supposed to work after the switch without a flash done to the system?

      Nope - it requires a sales code AND a change of the ambient sensor.

      Thank you for your response. I must not understand the threads for the twilight sensor and DRL's.  I replaced the regular headlight switch with an automatic version and the lights turn on by themselves when I run the car and turn off when I turn the ignition off.   If there is another reason why  I should install the new sensor.  It seems like it is working properly without flasing the system.
