  1. Hello, And Help! I am active duty Military stationed in Madrid Spain for 3 years. I bought 2012 DJ Crew for my family of 6. It threw code P0302 as reported by the Dodge Dealer here in Madrid this month. Yes there is a dealer here. The car is not really running rough, but I needed an oil change anyway so took it in. They want to replace the heads on #2 cylinder. Seems like that is the fix from what I have learned here. But- Because the Car is Europe- Dodge does not want to honor the factory warranty and neither will Dodge Europe. I have the extended 5 yr-100K mile powertrain warrantee so here is the kicker... Can I just wait till I get home next JUL to have it fixed? I have spent over an hour on phone with Dodge Customer agents in U.S. and EU trying to get answers but they will not tell me either: 1. now that it thru the code in Mar of 2014 at 34K miles and no one will cover the warrantee (verified by Dodge here)- can I drive it for another 14 months, wait to fix until I return to the U.S. and not void the warrantee? 2. what do I risk by driving it in this condition? 3. Are there options short of changing the heads? Once I saw the quote here, I immediately called my Dodge Dealer in MD. The Service manager told me this was a known problem with my year/engine and therefore I needed to get advice from "corporate" Seems everyone is avoiding the situation and the best I got from "Mimi" at Customer service is: "What ever you decide sir is your decision". Gee thanks. Oh by the way- the fix here is of $5K U.S. to change the heads. All advice would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Just had very screwy instance where I opened right front and back doors to put in bags, then walked around to drivers and tried to start- but key was not detected. Reviewed owners manual and tried the back up method- no joy. Tired 10 times no luck. Then hit remote start button and it started- as soon as I pushed break- engine died as it still did not see FOB. Opened car door to get spare FOB, but closed it immediately for traffic. DJ now sees FOB and starts. tried back up system and it too works. i get spare FOB (to be on safe side) and get in car- now both FOBs are in car- DJ does not see either FOB (but had both next to my IPHONE in cup holder). forced to start car with backup method and drive home in disgust- car is 2012 and I bought new 12 months ago today! (Had planned to take to and leave at Airport in the morning for vacation- now cant as am worried it will not start upon our return.) I get home- try to duplicate the issue- and cant. now both FOBs are detected and work fine. But no IPHONE in car. Think post below relative IPHONE interference may be onto something... i had made the connection last week when car momentarily did not see FOB but blew it off. Does any one know if the car scans continuously for FOB or only after door has been open? so if it forgets it saw it- do we have to remove FOB completely and reapproach the vehicle?
