  1. I found a crap ton of oil in my air filter box. Replaced PCV, hope that works.
  2. My res went as well. Nothing i do repairs it. Even bought the $12 kit from Advance with fiberglass patch. Still leaking. New one is $65 on ebay. No thanks.
  3. They have to be aware because the fixed the problem in the later models. I advised the dealer this and they said the best they could do is give me a discount. so I think it was $8 off.
  4. 1 broke off while driving, 2 cracked. $75 to replace the one at a dealership since it was sitting at a gas station. 1 is still ok for now, other 2 got rubber stems. JUNK!
  5. Mine turned out to be a bad fuse. It wasn't blown but I switched it out and everything was working again.

  7. I've just started having this issue today. I have an 09. Drivers side switch for front windows and power mirrors wont work. Passenger side switch does work. Rear windows do go down.

  9. I had to replace my left rear caliper with the parking brake assembly at 36,500 miles. bs. Never had to replace a caliper on a vehicle. Yeah, thats right, 500 miles after the warranty ended. It was dry as a bone.
  10. Happened to me. '09 3.5. Heard ticking in engine. Checked oil. Dry dipstick. Just had oil change in Feb. 4.5 quarts low. No drips or puddles. No indicator light. Only warning was the engine noise. Used NextGen oil. Now using Wolfs Head.
  11. My 09 3.5 is burning through oil fast as well. Just had an oil change in Feb. Added 4 1/2 quarts the other night after hearing a ticking in the engine compartment. Solved that. Must be burning it up. No drips or puddles. Sucks!
  12. My '09's mirrors went from a small chip to about the size of a 50 cent piece now. Still bubbling and peeling. Surface is too smooth for the paint to stick.
  13. No need to drill. Take a pipe cleaner and stick it into the drain hole on the bottom of the door and let the water run out. Sometimes those drains get blocked. I park under a tree and this happens all the time.
  14. What happened next? I just put a set of Raybestos pads/rotors on the rear and the left side was smoking when I got to work. Coincidentally, this is also the side where the old pad was completely gone and left a nice gouge in the old rotor. Right side wasn't that bad.
  15. So I heard a lot of knocking in the front end when going over bumps, potholes, railroad tracks, etc. It sounded like the entire front end was falling apart. Fortunately only 200 miles of my warranty left, I took it in to get looked at. It was the stabilizer bar bushings and linkage that "had play in it" and needed replaced. Took less than 2 hours. This seems to be a thing with Dodge. My parents had it on 2 caravans and it was the same thing.
  16. I have left my headlights on the past 2 days. It hasn't been dark enough for the auto to turn them on, but it was snowing so I had to have them on. It hasn't been chiming to remind me that they were on before I got out. Lucky enough they only stay on for 15 min or so then shut off automatically. Any ideas?
  17. This happens in my '09 too. Sooooo annoying! I pulled that black piece off (just snaps in) and there are just 2 cloth washers. I think the pin needs to be longer or there needs to be more of a solid washer there. Every little bump in the road or when you shut your doors, it pops down. I just called my dealer and they said they would replace the whole mechanism.
  18. When I fill up, the dash says I can go 400 miles. Unfortunately I only make it about 325 and have to refuel. My average MPG is 19-20. I have a 2.4 v6.
  19. I've been to the dealership twice. They said until I can get it to do it for them, there is nothing they can do. BS! They said if I want I can leave it for a few days and they will try to get it to do it. Well, when it does it twice a month, NO THANKS!
  20. Well, went to the dealership today. They obviously found nothing wrong and knew nothing about it. Couldn't get it to do it there, but then when I went to work at 4pm, it did it again. Figures. They said they would call Chrysler technical assistance and let me know what they say.
  21. Do you remember what part this was? I think I have the same problem.
  22. This just started ... when I push unlock on my keyless entry remote, it sets off the alarm. Not the panic alarm, the regular alarm. Nothing will shut it off. Then, once I get the door key out and open the door manually, it switches into panic alarm mode and then I can shut it off then. It doesn't do it again unless it sits for a while. Any clues? My dealer said he's never heard of this and I have an appt on Monday.

  24. Is there a good constant power wire under the dash easily accessible? I want to wire in blue LED's under the dash to come on with a switch, not the ignition or with the dome lights.
  25. Hello everyone! I just finalized the sale today on my '09 Dodge Journey SXT. Deep Water Blue Pearlcoat. FWD. I'm so excited! It's a beautiful vehicle. Already christened it by putting the first scratch on it. Was pulling the hose to get the brake dust off the wheels and it rubbed on the paint and scratched the fender flare. Oh well, it was bound to happen. I got a great deal on it with the employee pricing plus and got fair market value on my '04 Trailblazer. We liked the surf blue better, but the dealership only had it in AWD, which wasn't necessary. I have pics but they're too big to upload.
