  1. I feel your pain buddy... I got an AWD also and i got a high as 33L/100Km last winter 100% city driving. The best i got on city driving this summer was 17L/100km. I drove it on highway, 300kms on two way! I got flat 10L/100 @ speed 100-120kph. Right now im averaging 13.9L/100km which my best so far.combined city and highway.
  2. Lol... By the deals im seeing from the other forum members.. I could tell that i got ripped off by my dealership. :-)
  3. Speaking of 19" chrome clad wheels... Im starting to get bother. My one year old clad starts to look ugly! Not really sure id what it is.. Kinda like corroded, more like fine chrome sand sprinkled on my wheels! Anybody has the same issue.. I appreciate smy advice that can fix it! Didnt attemp to scrape it becaese i dont know if it would be a good idea.
  4. Im doing 90% city driving! Got 2 kiddos but i got my journey on v6 and awd. You'll never know when you need the the power and the awd! Atleast i know its there when the time comes i need it... Fuel consumption is the only downfall for me so far!
  5. So excited with the pics you're posting! :-)
  6. While i was in my car last week i observe that noise and i found out that it just happen when the shift lever is in drive or reverse and never made a noise on neutral and park! It made me conclude that the noise is coming from spring on caliper because the wheel wants to roll! I dont know if it should make noise though!
  7. I just called my dealer! Give them my VIN# and built date.. Seems they dont know much about it.. They said theres nothing wrong with my caliper and no update on it, they have available parts in case im changing my brakes! ,,so i guess that means i have bigger caliper! Not really sure, kinda confused!?
  8. My dodge journey was built april 2012 and bought last aug 2012. Im just confused if i got upgraded big caliper or it is still small. I dont have any idea about it because i havent seen 2013 with bigger caliper yet! I took some pix if my front brake!
  9. Thats a very nice idea! I will try to learn to change oil myself also, hopefully its not that hard! Tried to check procedures on you tube but no luck in finding specifically for journey!
  10. Fair enough!! Thank you very much! I just check and feel the engine oil it didnt even change color and transparency is so clear! But i will bring it to the dealership for change oil next week! There's no point being cheap on this wonderful vehicle!
  11. So i have a scheduled 1500km road trip by the end of july! My question is.. Should i make my first oil change before my trip??? or when i get back from this trip!? Mileage wise its still premature but the engine oil stays there since purchase! My 2012 journey is at 2800kms now 85% city driving but she will be one year this coming august! Im confused if it is necessary to make my oil change before my trip or not!
  12. I agree! Follow ur gut and/ or better deal. Dodge journey gets a little better year after year but all in all its always a good vehicle. I just bought my 2012 and after couple of months and.. Bam!! ,,There's 2013 with heated steering wheel and better nav and uconnect i heard. With lower msrp! Not confirmed coz im happy with my 2012 and i dont want to regret! Lol
  13. Please update us on what you find out and the fix! I have exactly the same issue when i step on my break pedal.
  14. Very nice review.. How about the fuel efficiency? Do notice improvement?
  15. I know what you mean... What frustrates me is comparison to other journey! If most of journey owner is getting same fuel economy as i do then i wont be upset even if its +5 higher what it said in the sticker! But dude, every body says im way higher. Hmmnnn, well, too much rant! ...I love my journey though.. :-)
  16. Only hope that mine will be fuel efficient also as the mileage gets bigger! Yeah, me too i watch my economy meter on the EVIC all the time. I dont remember that my rpm went higher than 3.5k on normal driving, aside one time when i used manual stick to help my engine breaking-in! But i reset my evic since then!
  17. Still very impressive! I would be very happy if i get even 1 liter higher that what sticker says w/c is 8.4L/100km highway and13L/100km city. Now my pure city is 17.9,, mixed city and highway is 14.9L/100km.
  18. Im also experiencing that on mine! Please let us know what dealer said after they give you your journey back! It sounded like spring thats stuck and forcefuly stretched.
  19. That is amazingly impressive! Way way better on what i got on my road trip which was 10.1L/100km On 63-66 mph... Congrats!
  20. Ouch,,, i dont know what happened! Its my first brand new vehicle. I thought all msrp are same! And i manage to squeeze $500 discount from the dealerwhich made me thought i did a good deal! I dont think theres much difference in canada and us exchange rate! As far as i remember canadian dollar was bit stronger that time!.
  21. My journey r/t fully loaded except booster seat went out the door $35,900 + 10%tax! ..plus 4.9% financing ofcourse. Did you find it kinda steep?
  22. How did that happen?????? You one lucky guy.. Qq
  23. Is it normal hearing and feeling a very noticeable clunk noise every time i step on my break when im not moving! Its like two metal grinding.. I dont feel anything while im driving it stops nicely no clunking/grinding while im stoping. Aside by being sluggish from stationary i dont feel anything unusual but as i've heard it common on journey to be sluggish due to its heavy weight! One thing more, warp rotors and numerous break problem on dodge journey is common issue on this forum! So always do engine break by downshifting evrery time im about to stop! I could tell that it can help on my break not to do the stopping job alone! My question is... Is it a good idea or im just punishing my transmission and making a more complicated problem in the long run!! Advices and opinons are welcome and muchly appreciated!
