  1. I have 2012 dodge journey rt. mine is out of 3 year warranty. My uconnect used to stuck on loading. I did disconnect my battery to reset it. It worked. But another issue occured. Im not sure if its the mic or something. Because it never respond to any voice command. My question is: is there anything to check like fuse or anything.  How hard is it to replace mic on it? I'm thonking of fixing it myself first. Because iys out of warranty dealership is not my first option. Anybody experience here the same issue? Thanks in advance

  2. My 2012 journey is not due for oil change yet for another 3000km more. But when I check liquid level I notice the power steering oil is set in minimum mark while all other liquids barely went below max mark. Is it normal or something to check by my dealer? I don't that drive much and 90% city driving. 14800km!

Is it safe to drive? Can I just wait for my oil change so I can do both in one shot or it is a necessity to fill it right away?

  3. I inquire on every auto store and dealership here in saskatoon but still no luck. Saw Nappa auto parts on flyer being lisence distributor of weathertech in saskatoon but non for dodge journey.

  4. As I said, alignment is not the same as balancing.

Oh ok.. I got it. Since i will have them to balance my wheel as a start for vibration issue is it a good idea to tell them to rotate as well since they are taking it off the journey to put in their machine. Or no need coz it was just rotated 2200 kms ago.
  5. Seriously? Did you get a warranty? Did you read what is covered and what is not?

Did they balance as well as rotate? Rotating does nothing if the balance is off. Alignment generally does not cause vibrations, mostly uneven tire wear.

I did pay wheel alignment and rotation on separate occassion. I got a couple of free oil change so i just paid rotation. On alignment i paid extra 19.99 on it while they are doing warranty work just for peace of mind for winching it sideways! I tried to push it to include under warranty because they were the one who authorize tow company to winch it but it didnt work.
  6. I just got it rotated on my 2nd oil change @9400kms less than 3 months ago. I also checked its alignment Last year when my battery got dead and they have to winch it sideways to tow. Is wheel balancing covered by warranty? Thanks for input. Hopefully it will be a quick fix when i bring it to dealership!

  7. Im not sure if im in right section.. I need some input about what just happened earlier. Mine is an 2012 r/t, 11,900 kms on it. As im driving on @100kph i got a strong vibration which is scary. The whole vehicle shakes violently. I notice it one time with 40kph but i just ignore it because it semms tolerable. Any idea what might be the cuase! Dealership closed at week end my concern is if i continue to drive will it worsen the damage. Im sure if i schedule it. It will take two weeks to get in as dealership is busy these days!

  8. My daily commute is 6 miles round trip of pure stop-n-go. Sometimes I'll be pleasantly surprised and have to sit through only 2-3 traffic signal cycles per intersection. Most of the time it's 5-6 cycles. If traffic is bad, 10+ cycles. Takes 40 minutes to drive 3 miles if I don't spot the backup and take the empty side roads instead (which still involve heavy traffic). Troy is busy replacing huge swaths of concrete on one of the cross roads between the lab and my apartment, which isn't helping.

I'm at 3800 miles now, so that's why I got to thinking about it. I'm thinking I'll have it done either when the light comes on, or at 5,000 miles. Whichever comes first. I used to do 5,000 OCIs on my Special with synthetic oil before the lab told me I could do 7,000 miles, which puts that car at fewer than one change per year...

We are almost same daily commute.. Would you mind if i ask your fuel economy. Mine sits on 16L/100km pure city driving. 11200km right now on my r/t awd. Is it normal or still a bit higher. It improves 1L/100kms since my best pure city driving last year was17L/100kms.
  9. I could tell tree saps are much tougher than bugs. I tried so much brand for those sap but its still there. Much harder than my top coat. I did wet cotton with bug remover and soak these hardened tree saps but to no avail, still stuck in my hood. The more i scrub its just the clear coat around it that gets scrathed.

  10. It happens to me randomly! After i parked my vehicle i went out and when i come back nothing is working. Touching door handle to unlock wont work, even pressing unlock on my remote didnt work also! The solution is unlocking the door manuallywith key in the fob. It alarm like hell. Getting inside car press ignition with nose of fob and it starts!

Ridiculous thing is i brought it to dealer but cant duplicate the issue. Im driving it every day and it happens atleast twice every month!

  11. Thanks for sharing.. Im just confuse about it. Since i have schedule to dealership next next week should i ask them to replace with the new battery? Will it resolve the issue. I have dead battery issue twice on my 20 months of owning my journey. Several occasion my remote start wont work but when i use the manual push button, it works! My audio is compleate dead now( radio, usb music and even navigation) i dont know if its associated with my battery saving mode.
