  1. Well maybe my girlfriend hit the lock button as she got out of the car ( she used to to that all the time in my Nitro) after your scenario...... Stuck outside also. I think you guys missed the whole point...... It should be an option that I can chose to use, knowing the risks of being locked out. Man if I ever left my keys in my Nitro, I would have been locked out so many times I couldn't count them. You can turn off the passive entry, it would have been nice if they had a passive lock on exit. That's all, doesn't need to be the default option, just thought it would be nice the have the option. I was hoping I missed the setting and someone would suggest the correct way to turn it on. A guy can dream can't he? I really think the chances of getting locked out is much lower than someone breaking into my car because I forgot to lock it and it didn't lock automagically a few minutes after the car saw the "key is not in the vehicle".

    4.3 & GPS mount

Here's an idea for a soft mount for a GPS or phone. I took the rubber tray out of the pocket under the 4.3 screen and turned it around and pushed the little pins back in the holes.... now I have a small soft tray sticking out that I can set my small GPS or lay my Cell phone on its side. It's like having an over/under display with the radio on top gps right below. added photo
  3. NOT bitching just asking if I missed how to program the car to auto-lock. Many security alarm systems, can do this, and I was hoping that maybe someone might know something I missed. Apparently not, so I guess I need to re-program my brain.
  4. I don't think so. If you forgot the FOB in the car it shouldn't lock, or worst case, it would unlock when you grab the front door handle.
  5. Don't get me wrong I love my Journey, but this stuff is annoying. OK, who programmed my 2011 Crew? I find the EVIC display OK but why oh why did they use that stupid Menu method of programming. My 07 Nitro you could just arrow up or down through the options, if one required more options you hit another button to access those options. It takes me 3 ( count 'em) 3 button presses to get from one option to the next.. Say you wanted to go to the Trip info from Speed info 1st you have to hit the "Back" button 2nd you have to hit the Arrow up or down to get to the next option, 3rd you have to hit the "right arrow" button to access that option. What an amazing step backwards with their programming..... Give me the programming from my '07 Nitro any day. Recently I rented a Chevy Cruse on a business trip, just hit those up down arrow keys to see the next display, NO back button not "enter" (right arrow) key. Quick and easy. Next is there a way to have the doors auto-lock when you leave the car. I keep forgetting to lock my car because I don't need to take the FOB out of my pocket to unlock and start the car. I would think there should be a setting to have the car auto-lock when is senses that the FOB has left the car. This should be an option just like the programming weather 1 door or all doors unlock when you hit the unlock button. I know all I need to do is hit the lock button on my way out of the car, but I haven't learned that habit yet. Guess I the convenience of the doors unlocking when I grab the handle has me spoiled, I want it to lock also without me having to think about it. Passive entrance is great, now I want my Passive exit also. If there is a way to set the car to lock automatically when you walk away, I hope someone can explain to me how to do it. Call me spoiled
  6. NOW you tell me... I have same problem. I can get the clips by the windshield and the center ones to catch but the back ones won't clip, because of the flex... can't figure out how to get it to catch. Thought it was going to break it was so hard to get loose, but now I wish I never took it down.
  7. THANK you! I figgured it just snapped in and out, but your pictures confirmed it.
