  1. in the winter at-20 temps my journey is doing 19liters / 100 km, but in the warmer weather aprrox 0 temps its doing 13liters/100 km
  2. Hello I actually did have the problem resolved after 6 months of dealing with it, turns out the intake motor was bad causing ticking. It was definately louder when RPMs were higher but even at idle the noise was there. But ticking could be a few different things depends where it is coming from?... If it is on the passanger side higher up it could be lifter noise (as i have heard of a few journeys having lifters replaced). If the noise is more like a card in a bike tire it could be the fly wheel missing bolts. If the noise is constatly there on the passanger side, even at idle could be lifter or the intake motor. My journey has been great since the intake motor was replaced but it was a long "Journey" to find the problem I have learned alot about this vehicle since i bought mine in June... especially where the ticking noises CAN come from and the characterstics of them. I know more about the journey than any other vehicle i have ever had If you have any questions i will be happy to help... it can be so frusterating dealing with this
  3. well they "think" they have found the ticking noise, they said its the intake valve... ? we will see, i will definately drive it around the block first before taking it all the way home and starting from square 1 again. I really dont think they will be able to fix the ticking noise...
  4. funny.. i had the "rapid response" fixed on my car too but i dont have a sunroof ???
  5. thank you!... i will be taking this post to the tech i deal with next week. I know there is a recall on this but i brought it into the shop for it to be fixed and when i left it was so much worse than before! so i dont know what happened
  6. Thank you so much... The journey goes in next week and they will have engineering troubleshoot to fix these issues, if not they will take my engine back and send a new one so they can look over my engine and see what went wrong. I love my journey im just tired of being in the shop every week (literally!). Will know by the end of next week what they are going to do. We all hope they are going to replace the engine, even the service manager said at this point thats the only resolution. I was thinking of doing the buy back as well, but with you experience I will push harder for a new engine.
  7. I have many many engine troubles with mine and engineering is now considering replacing the whole engine (7500km). the lifter has been replaced twice and rockers have been rplaced twice due to ticking noise. It definately is the rocker or lifter but they cannot fix it. also had tippum modlue replace after car stalled on me a few times. Also when driving at approx 20km i get a "clink" sound. Dealership says they cant believe my journey is in all the time. also i have the clunk when putting into reverse and the left turn honk/growl... has anyone else had these problems? and have they been fixed? HELP
  8. how is the Journey doing after the engine being replaced? I have many many engine troubles with mine and engineering is now considering replacing the whole engine with 7500 km. the lifter has been replaced twice and rockers have been rplaced twice due to ticking noise. It definately is the rocker or lifter but they cannot fix it. also had tippum modlue replace after car stalled on me a few times. Also when driving at approx 20km i get a "clink" sound. Dealership says they cant believe my journey is in all the time and the others are just in for recall work and they dont have any of these issues. also i have the clunk when putting into reverse and the left turn honk/growl... so after your engine has been replaced is it any better? any info would be much appreciated!
