Yes, the software update worked, but I didn't notice any other change, except the window issue fix. I think it was just like a system's "full" reset, but that's something that only can be done at (and by) a dealer. Good luck.

Hi. I had almost the same problem in my car (2009 too). I took my car to the dealer (it was still in warranty period), and they told me they had to apply a software update. Sorry, but I can't tell better news.

Same problem here. I could send a PM and I received the reply, then I couldn't answer, not even to say thank you to that person. BTW I wrote a mail to admin through "Contact" section and I didn't get any answer. Wrong mail address?

Hi again. Solved. I drove my car to the dealer, and in two hours (more or less), they phoned me, and told "your car is repaired". When I asked them about the bug, they told me it was fixed just updating the software. It seems this issue is in any kind of "knowledge base", and, after some checks (hardware checks, I suppose), they applied the update to my car's system. Well, no cost for me, just time wasting going to the dealer, going back home, and "regoing" to the dealer. Of course, no parts (hardware) where replaced.

Well, as I said, car is younger than two years, I told so when I phoned to the dealer, and his answer was that they will fix the problem without any cost for me, so I'll go there and leave my car for one day (at least...). Thank you.

Hi everybody. I've got a problem one week ago. All buttons placed on driver's door aren´t working, except the two which operate rear windows. I can´t lift (or roll down) driver's window, nor lock/unlock the car, neither move mirrors. I can lift and roll down every window from the button in its door (obviosuly, except driver's window), and even lock/unlock the car. I tried to make a reset, holding the button up (and down), but didn´t get results. Do you know how to make another reset? I contacted my dealer, and they say they need to keep the car for one whole day (at least...), to find and fix the issue, but i think it has to be something more simple to solve. Thank you in advance for any idea. PS. My Journey SXT is dated in 2009, although I bought it (brand new) in April/2011.

Well, not very lucky about my question to the dealer. They told me just "there is no reprogramming for fog lamps so that they work as DRL" I even supply the sales code (LNL), but it didn´t work.

Hi, I own a 2009 SXT. I have nav and backup camera, but no touch screen, all parameters are controlled thru the "joystick", and/or "setup" button. Do you think I'll be able to see the DRL option (disabled, of course) in my screen? I've no idea about what button I should press, just to get the option. I understood that, if I want to activate DRLs I've got to request the sales code to my dealer (and pray a little bit so that they know what I'm talking about).

Wow, I'm not sure that agrees European laws. I was thinking about asking my dealer for a reprogramming, if possible, but, first of all, I'll find out if "undo" option is available. Thanks again.

Hi friends. In the american (USA & Canada) market, I think that our (yours) Journey are equipped with DRL. Are they equipped with fog lamps too? If so, are both lamps in the same headlight? Male, 42. Married 16 years ago. Father of 2 sons (12 and 6) and 1 dougther (almost 8). I live in southern Spain, so nice weather over here (no snow, so, no AWD needed). I had my '09 Journey SXT 2.0L Diesel last april, and, so far so good. It's only 9600 kms. I work as IT consultant, not independent, I'm employed at a bank 18 years ago. My wife's car is a chevy Aveo 4-door, 1.4L gas, a really small engine for America, but quite useful inside the city.

I couldn´t be more agreed with your last sentence. Commercial figures about mileage are just to let us (customers) to compare between different cars. We shouldn't think about those figures in terms of "whole truth".
