  1. we took our Journey in for an oil change and tire rotation. we have 20,800kms and we were told we need new front brakes, they said there was about 15% left on them. this makes me mad because our last vehicle (a toyota) never needed new brakes in the 3 years we owned it! we are also having a tail light replaced, and our auto-up on the driver window isn't working. on top of this, in the 11 months we've had our Journey we've had to have our ignition replaced, engine wiring harness adapted, and power steering fluid reservoir replaced! As far as i'm concerned, this vehicle is a total Lemon!!!!!
  2. hi, we have a dodge journey R/T which we leased in March 08. we have had several problems with it including the grinding noise when turning left and the recall for the wiring harness problem. i am really beginning to think that all these problems are just due to the fact that it is a brand new model. our journey was the first one in our region to leave the showroom, and i think that over the past (almost) year since we bought it they've probably ironed out some of the kinks that the model had at first. just my opinion though. i was warned never to buy a car in its first model year, and now i can see why. but really, now that all those little problems have been fixed (free of charge) we really like our Journey! it has loads of cool features, like the under floor storage bins, pop cooler in the dash, touch screen radio, hard drive, 7 passenger seating...lots of things that you don't often see in a vehicle, especially at this price point! so, all in all, if we knew that all the problems we had with our journey had been fixed in the ones that are coming off the production line now, we'd definitely recommend it to people!
  3. Hey, congrats on your Journey...i was wondering about what you said 'result of a lemon-jeep replacement" were you by chance leasing/financing your jeep? and did the dealership let you trade it in? i'm just wondering cause (not to scare you) but we think our Journey is a bit of a lemon and we'd like to get out of our lease and get something different... thanks, Jen (Dodge Journey R/T)
  4. update: took the journey in yesterday and they have concluded that it is the 'wind module'. should have a new one in for me in a week and a half. i'm supposed to keep driving the car until it comes in
  5. i took my journey in yesterday and finally today (after bringing in a forman, and ultimatly calling the 'engineers' they discovered that it was the 'wind module'. they have ordered one for me and should be here in about a week and a half. i have never even heard of a wind module before, and i tried googling it and came up with nothing! oh well, hope it solves the problem!
  6. thank you for posting this, i have an R/T and i've been having the same problem with no power to the cabin. it has happened 3 times now. once our window was stuck down in the pouring rain, another time our turning signals didnt work. the third time we were in grizzly bear country and the window was stuck down...scary stuff!! the dealership told me that in order to diagnose the problem, i'd have to bring my car in WHILE the problem was happening. kinda hard to do since it only lasts a few minutes! i'm due for my 2nd oil change soon so i'll mention that module when i'm in. i took it in to get the wiring harness thing fixed, only took 2 hours so thats good!

    Gas mileage

i have an R/T, i get about 25-26 mpg in the city, but only 22-26 on the highway..hmmmm
  8. i picked up my R/T on march 26th, we got the show room model, so we didnt have to wait for it:) its beautiful, 7 passenger, leather, sunroof... BUT, we've had this issue with our electronics suddenly not working. all of a sudden our stereo goes off, pwr windows dont work, signals dont work, climate control...nothing! it lasts for about 5 minutes then all starts up again. has anyone else had this problem? i asked the dealership and they said we'd have to bring it in while it was happening or they wouldnt know what was wrong with it..grrrr! my husband also had a problem with the driver side power window. the 'auto up' control didnt work for an entire day!
