  1. His and Her Dodge R/T's (mine is a little faster!)
  2. I didn't know the lights turn on with the wipers or you could lower the windows with the remote. What button do you use to make that happen??? Thanks, Steve
  3. My wife has a 2010 R/T (FWD with NAV and Convenience Group II, but no 3rd row- very rare combo). Seems like the Journey gets a bad rap, but I've come to appreciate it more and more as time goes by. Here are some cool features I've noticed: 1. Key/Remote - The key and the remote are one in the same. Not too big and it inserts easily into the ignition. The remote has tremendous range which works great with the remote start. 2. Can't grind the starter - Speaking of the key, if you turn the key to start the car while it's already running, nothing happens! It knows not to engage the starter and make that horrible grinding sound. 3. Aluminum hood - This has to be one of the easiest hoods to lift up. It is so much lighter than a conventional steel hood. 4. Folding Exterior mirrors - A lot of cars have this, but not all. Nice to see Dodge didn't cheap-out here. 5. Wipers return to down position - If you turn off the car while the wipers are on, the wipers automatically return to their down position. Steve
  4. Same problem here! My wife has re-created her phonebook entries many times. The system records the name she speaks and attaches it to the phone number. It works great for a while- just say the person's name and it recognizes it and dials the number. It works even if a different person says the name (even though my voice is very different from my wife's, it still recognizes the name recorded by my wife) and dials the right number. Very impressive, until after a few days, BAM! all the names are forgotten! It still has the phone entry with the phone number, but the voice name tag that was assigned to the number is gone. Dealer, of course, has no idea and has never heard of this problem.
  5. My wife has a 2010 R/T with the top option Radio/Nav/MyGig (screen is at the top of the dash, not the bottom). The factory window sticker on the car lists "IPod Control". I assumed we could plug the IPod into the USB and control it using the radio buttons on the dash and steering wheel, but nope. The only thing it does, as far as I can tell, is allow you to download MP3 music files from the IPod to the hard disk. When you plug in the IPod and go to Import Music screen, an "IPOD Control" option appears on the screen. You select this option and it automatically copies all the MP3's (not the Itunes songs you bought, just any MP3's you happended to put on your IPod). The MP3's get all copied to a Playlist called "IPOD Control" on the hard disk. That's all it does! For my wife, it was actually a little bit useful since she had a fair amount of MP3's on her IPod and the day she got her car, she quickly had her MP3's on the hard drive. She likes to use the Random feature while listening to a playlist so having a bunch of songs dumped into the single playlist called "IPOD Control" actually worked pretty well for her. But obviously we were disappointed by the lack of functionality. I suspect Chrysler had good intentions with the IPOD Control feature, but engineering couldn't get the job done and nobody told marketing so they still list it as a feature. I suppose it's possible they could get it working with a future software update. Steve
