  1. Same problem here. I think it is a fault with the UConnect system. Sometimes when I power up the car, the clock display start as --|-- and then sets the time, other times the clock display is correct. My guess is that when the clock display starts at --|-- the UConnect has been reset and the address book is lost. Another weird thing I've noticed is that when the address book is lost, if I ask it to list the entries, it seems to have the numbers without the names!
  2. Yep - satnav, uconnect, ugig (I think that is what it is called) and rear parking view.
  3. Yes, I refer to the Stereo system as Uconnect. Sorry for the confusion. I'm surprised the iPod doesn't work through the USB connection on the stereo system as my Journey is the 2010 model but not much I can do about it. I don't have an AUX button my my system, only a media button that then shows HD/Disc/AUX on the screen, but AUX isn't selectable - I think that is just for equipment you connect via the phono socket.
  4. Hi all, We got a Red SXT end of September that came with the Uconnect (including camera for reversing) and I had the parking sensors added. Got a really good deal on it, just over 16k. I'm a bit concerned what I read in one of the other "hello" posts about Dodge pulling out of the UK, but given the difficulty we had finding a new Journey, its not that suprising. So far I've been quite happy with the car, only done about 700 miles and the only problem we've experienced is the alarm going off a couple of times, once when it rained really heavily and another time when a heavy truck went by but I guess that is just down to the alarm being a bit sensitive. My only other gripe is that the sound system doesn't seem to work with the iPod (or any MP3 player via the USB connection) and the sat nav is a bit crap - a couple of times I haven't been able to enter certain streets but when I get to the location, the name of the streets show on the sat nav so it must know about them! Anyone else finding the sat nav a bit rubbish? I certainly don't think uconnect/sat nav/sound system is worth 2k, but as I effectively got it for free, can't complain too much oh, and the heating in the 2nd row of seats takes its time getting up to heat!
  5. I'm not sure the UK system is the same as the US one - there is no mention of iPod connectivity in the manual. Does the US model have a USB port into the sound system? In the UK model all you can use it for is to transfer music from USB sticks onto the harddrive, you can't seem to play music directly from it. TBH, kind of disappointed with the Journey's sound system, the one year old Sony CD player in my other car has a USB port I can just plug the iPod into and it works fine, kind of expected this to be the same.
  6. Hi all. I've recently bought a 2010 SXT model with Uconnect. I'm based in the UK and have a UK model so the answer I'm looking for might only be from someone who has a UK model. Basically, Uconnect comes with a front USB port which I can plug my iPod touch into. The iPod charges, but is there any way I can actually play the music from the iPod on the Uconnect system? I can't see anything in the manual that comes with Uconnect system that suggests this is possible, but as this is 2010 I really hoped it would work! Thanks for any advice.
