  1. That's the exact sound I'm talking about......very good description Bubba.....
  2. I purchased a 2010 SXT / 3.5L V6 Journey in November and was wondering if anyone else hears a load noise when starting their car in the morning in extremely cold weather (-15C and below). It goes away in seconds, but sounds like the starter is going to bust out of the vehicule. Just a thought......
  3. I don't understand why I'm already receiving the "Oil Change", message after only 4000km...It states in the owner's manual that oil change intervals are at 10000km... What gives???? Can I ignore the message for now?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...
  4. I'm a bit disappointed with the lack of leg space in the 3rd row. There's no floor board like the first and second row. When an adult sits back there their knees are almost touching their chin. I had a Kia Rondo (7 seater) which is a bit smaller vehicle, but the 3rd row was alot more comfortable and was at the same level as the other rows. I just don't understand....
  5. Uconnect is used for bluetooth capabilities. IF your Journey is equiped, you should have an Ipod connector within your glovebox. If you do you need to purchase an Ipod connector cable from your dealer. If not, use your AUX port to plug your Ipod....
  6. I've been having the same problem. 1.5 worked perfect with Uconnect bluetooth, but the 2.1 upgrade caused all kinds of problems as all of you. What I did was a complete factory reset of the phone. It didn't reset it back to 1.5, but it did reset all settings including the bluetooth application. Please understand, this does wipeout all personal settings including all contacts and installed applications. Also, make sure you delete all phone pairings within your in-car bluetooth system. Now pair your phone with your bluetooth device. This worked perfectly for me.... Everything is functional including phonebook download and voice recognition. Let me know if being tried and how it went.
  7. Joe, I'd really like to see some photos of your off-the-self setup...It's something I would like to do myself...
  8. I've had my 2010 SXT journey for 1 month as well and I do all city driving. I'm getting 12.9L/per 100km with the 3.5L/V6 if the computer is right....
  9. 45 year old male. Married for 25 years with 3 daughters 13,15, and 22. Spent 8 years in the Navy , met and married a canadian , and have been living here in Montreal, Quebec for a good 20 years. I've been working as a Network admin/specialist for 13 years at the same company. I bought a white DJ SXT with no regrets so far....
  10. I just purchased a 2010 Journey SXT without heated seats, but bargined the heated seats included in the price. My question is when they do install them (22 Nov.) will they utilize the same buttons on the dash as those already installed with them??

  13. Sorry guys for the stupid question. The dealer did give me the right size for the winter tires. My stock 17"'s are 225/65/R17 and not the 255/65/R17 I mentioned at the beginning of the post. I did a tire calculation and it's almost perfect. Thanks for your help.....
  14. I'm a bit puzzled.... My 2010 Journey SXT came with all season P255/65R17 and they gave me winter tires P225/70R16. I just had the winter tires put on yesterday, but this morning I decided to use a tire down size calculator and found out that there is a 5.5% Diameter difference between the 2 sizes. There shouldn't be more than a 3% difference. Won't this affect my brakes and speedo?? Any comments would be appreciated......

  16. Thanks for such a quick response!!!
  17. Just a quick question for all fellow Journey owners. Is it normal that when the armrest is fully forward covering the cubby hole there's a gap between the bottom of the armrest and the center console it sits on??? This does not occur when it's slid all the way back. I may be obsessive, but it's something I'm conerned about....
  18. Picked up my new 2010 Journey SXT / 7 seater on the 2nd of November and I'm lov'in it..... I used to be a Kia Rondo 7 seater owner, but after seeing how much more room the Journey has, the larger engine, and the smooth / quiet ride for the same price, It became a no brainer....
  19. Just a quick question. I just purchased a Journey SXT (3.5L / V6) and wondering if using 87 Octane unleaded fuel is OK???
