Hello, I am new here, just a dumb question. since the wiring diagram shows that this switch circuit (meaning open and close) why would you need a resistor and not just a piece of wire to close the circuit to not trigger the hood ajar warning? I have a DJ and heard some people just keep using the resistor instead of the switch (bypassing). thanks
