Hello there! I'll start by saying I know this is a fairly well documented topic, but I have searched this and other forums and other places and haven't found what I am looking for (posibly just not searching the right stuff?).
Anyway, I have a 2013 DJ SXT that technically did not have remote start. I have been successful in programming a new key with the remote start option, enabled the remote start in the computer, and it almost works. My last hurdle is the hood ajar switch. I get the horn honk, but then the 'Remote stat aborted, hood ajar' message when I try and use the remote start. I can find the connectors and replacement hood latches with the thing all over the internet, buy my question is: does the wiring for this switch already exist on the car or not? And if not, is there a diagram that shows where I need to start to connect a switch to the proper controlling module?
I have looked all around the wiring on the front of the vehicle and did not see anything that looked like the correct connector for this switch. If I can find out where it terminates normally I could add one in, but that information has not been easy to find. I was hoping to avoid paying for wiring diagrams for this one thing (plus I kinda suck at reading them tbh), so here I am.
Thanks in advance for any advice or input on this!
