  1. What if I spray the area you highlighted I. Photo 9 with flexi seal do you think that will work?

    Update:

While it is rain proof and water hose proof, it is not touchless car wash proof. Can confirm the water did not enter through the sealed areas, so it must have made its way in through the sheet metal sandwich/ gaps just north of the problem area. Image 9. The blue traces are the edges of the different sheet metal parts. Outlined in purple are the most likely locations of intrusion. I reposted because I needed to turn on notifications for this one

You could refill the system with THE PROPER refrigerant (several types) with dye in it, HOWEVER if you are not familiar with working on AC systems, take it to a auto ac repair place. Your mechanic does not sound like he/she is familiar with AC systems.  If you are low/empty on Freon the compressor will not engage.  Once you know what part needs to be replaced you might be able to get it online, but you just don’t change the part and refill the system.  There is more to it.  AC systems are not really a DIY project…..

Yea he doesn't really specialize in it at all but offered his help I check with one of those auto zone ac fill up things and it siad its full I check the radiator the small radiator part and don't see any cracks

Most common a/c repair is condensor replacement. It’s an aluminum flat thing that looks like a screen almost, sits in front of radiator behind grill.

A small rock often can often bounce up and put in a hole it. Then refrigerant leaks out, usually a small oil stain forms around where leak is, dirt will cling to it.  Unfortunetly,  several hundred bucks to fix usually.

So how could I look for the leak if you don't mind me asking before going to the mechanic and can I order it from offline cheaper?

it is probally not working, maybe taking it into a qualified shop to have it looked at might help,,,,,

That's my plan because it sucks not having ac does the outcome usually go well for this and what's the cost usually?

In my 09 when I heard hissing the system had a leak. Don’t waste your money just refilling the Freon. Take it to a qualified shop, find the leak, and fix it.  The only way you get low on Freon is if it leaks out.  It does not get used up.

So now it's not even hissing or clutch engaging my regular mechanic said the ac compressor still works but something is stopping it from engaging and they are saying it has to do with electrical but literally the day before it was working perfectly fine which confuses me if it would be a electrical I more believe it being related to a leak because it happened out of no where

  7. So I recently been trying to figure out why my ac hasn't been working. I did all the trouble shooting and I came across this part under the hood that was punctured the piece that punctured looks like a oil change piece that says "for dealer use only" and has a sensor I believe anybody have an idea what the part that's punctured is called I included a link to the videos because they are to big of files to post on here included is the photo as well https://photos.app.goo.gl/yDiPVpzD6VFohitM9

I had the same issue 2 years ago with our 2012 Crew.  Our battery started turning up dead after sitting a few days.  We replaced the alternator, but didn't correct the issue; had it our shop for a week and didn't show anything.  The only item that was wrong was our Bluetooth stopped working.  We pulled the Bluetooth fuse and have not had an issue with the car starting since.  A local dealer was going to charge $600-650 to replace the module but I didn't want to drop that on something that wasn't a necessity.  I ended up finding a module for $225 online from a Mopar site.

I actually finally replaced the module yesterday.  It was a pain in the a** getting it out of the housing.  Taking the brake pedal off wasn't bad, but 1 of the 2 screws on the module is in an awful spot and took forever to blindly get it to bite.  In the end I was able to swap out the module, put the fuse back in, and my U-Connect is working again (yay).

However I now will hold my breath in the upcoming weeks that my car will start.  If it doesn't, the Bluetooth fuse will come out again.  If it does, then hopefully swapping out the Bluetooth module was the issue and we're good moving forward with no starting issues AND having U-Connect back.  I'll keep you posted.

Where is the Bluetooth module fuse located?

i've never encountered a Blue version of the screen of a Dodge journey-
This leads me to believe that the screen is from a Chrysler 200 or Chrysler 300, and NOT from Dodge Journey originally.  Maybe it was somehow re-programmed to look like the red Dodge version, but after a hard reset it reverted to it's original colors.

My guess is that the radio was installed after the car what manufactured, (possibly as an upgrade from 4.3 Uconnect to 8.4 Uconnect.  This upgrade is not easy when you're going from one Dodge Journey to another, yet alone from a Chrysler to a dodge.

I suspect there is some incompatibility between the head unit, and the dodge's BT module.

    Could be

    1. bad module, needing to be replaced
    2. bad wiring (whoever installed the Chrysler 8.4" Display didn't install all the wires correctly
    3. burned out / removed BT module fuse (found in the fuse box located behind the glove box)
    4. incompatibility between the Chrysler head, (2011+ Chrysler 300 unit, or 2015+ chrysler 200 head unit) and the Dodge Journey BT Module (which is possibly the original from the DJ

I never thought to try the fuse gonan try that one first and go from there

yes journeys do have their problems same as all vehicle do, just remember this is the last yr for this model as well, that said if you take care of one and do your maintenance they are great value for the money, their are always lemons as well with any vehicle that is out there, i had a 2011 put 70 k on it and then liked it so much traded it for my 2014 106 k on this one yes i have had 3 things go wrong withe it, a oil pressure sending switch and a wheel speed senor and also just had the rear camera replaced.  also i have the 3.6 eng in both so cant speak for the 2.4 engine power i would recommend one to any one wanting a bigger size vehicle that can carry 6 people with luggage for a great price, but you can always pay an extra 20 grand and buy yourself an Toyota Subaru or Honda one of the other high price SUV and also pay the higher price on repairs and maintenance that comes with them..good luck

What does your camera quality look like I am considering getting a new camera but want to see the quality
