  1. I recently had the same issue. The T's to the heater core busted. I replaced those and in the process found many other things physically broken, cracked or burnt. The engine is fine on cool days but in stop and go traffic gets hot and over heats. LS fan kicks in at 215 and drops to 190. Parts replaced due to over heating. Heater core hoses(both) Thermostat(both) Fan resistor Camshaft positioning censor(both) Valve cover gasket. The gasket was only replaced because one of the camshaft positioning sensors melted on to the valve cover so I had to take apart to remove. Only thing I haven't looked at is the water pump. Any suggestions? 2.4L 2015 Thanks
  2. You have 2 camshaft positioning sensors. They are both located on the right side of the engine front and back. You well need to take off the beauty cover and also a heat shield on the back side.

Hello, Long time listener first time caller! I currently own a 2015 Dodge AVP 2.4L. Nothing special done, but I am here to gain some more knowledge and hear about other issues or know how on the journey. Currently sitting at 133 Thousand miles. I have some DIY mechanical experience and am a Telecom Technician so basic trouble shooting comes into play.
