Hello, sorry I know this is on old post but we were in the middle of PCSing with the military when notices went out and have been having issues with the cylinder #4 misfiring for awhile.  We are still under 10 years and 149,000 miles.  Do we just contact our dealership and make an appointment to have this issue resolved???

Yeah mate best to contact dealership and ask them the question. If you are in the US you should be fine. Here in Oz they are very hard to deal with.... I ended up selling the car at loss. :(

Thanks JKeaton. I wonder if you could help with the Issue i have with my DJ 2014 R/T FWD 3.6 Petrol with 94,000 kms and all services done on time and with correct oil etc.

The Issue i have is that when the car gets to around 80kmph it starts to vibrate throughout the car. I can feel it in the seats, in the foot well and i can see the passenger seat and backseat headrests vibrating. Nothing can be felt on the steering wheel.  When you go beyond that speed and up to about 110kmph the vibrating starts to pulsate when cruising. Its like 2-3 seconds vibrate and then nothing and then again and so on and so forth. The only way to reduce it is to manually up shift the auto to the 5th gear. Even though this immediately stops it I can still feel it very very mildly. I feel like it almost happens from 1200rpm to about 1600rpm.

Further there is also the shuddering/jumping feeling just before i hit the gas when taking off. This is intermittent though, doesn't really happen all the time.

Could this be a misfire? I did read that these Pentastar engines have Valve body and cylinder head issues etc. I sincerely hope not as the car is out of warranty.

And i am really hoping that this is the TSB update required on the transmission

    Looking forward to the reply.

    Cheers Saz

Just an update on this matter. I now have a code P0306 Cylinder 6 misfire. I am dreading this is that Cylinder head issue that has been a problem for some. Trying to get FCA Australia to honor the warranty given to USA and Canada customers.

Can anyone give me some advise on how to approach FCA on the matter? I tried to contact a Dodge/Jeep dealer and he outright said "There is no information on such issue or extended warranty".

In the States, we have Mopar.com where we can set up an account. It is the official Mopar owner's site that allows you to track your vehicle by VIN #. You can see all of the service records from the dealer or those you enter yourself. You can also see what your warranty is specific to that VIN # and a listing of recalls.

You may be able to access something similar where you are even if the brand is no longer sold there. Try a Google search.

Cheers mate. I'm contacting FCA Australia and hopefully get somewhere. Fingers crossed they honour the same warranty as the US on this issue.

have no idea on the cost but usually your warranty stays in affect even to the next owners ( not sure about that in other countries)and if it applies you should be covered ,contact a dealership to be sure you might still be covered.... also the org warranty for 2014  i think it i was a 5 yr 60 k power-train warranty so you might be covered there if within the 5 yr part,..good luck and keep us posted

    Thanks for the reply mate.

I looked at the warranty booklet and it shows its a basic 36 month or 100,000kms whichever comes first. I haven't seen anything about the Powertrain side of thing. Worst thing is they have stopped selling the Dodge brand here due to poor sales, so who knows even if they would honor it. I am hoping that this extended warranty thing will apply to mine given its the same issue. Is there a way to insert a VIN and then check if my VIN is included?

  5. G'Day from Down Under (Australia)!

Alas my car threw a CIL today and I got it scanned and it showed Cylinder 6 misfire. Could this be the same issue? :(

My DJ is a 2014, 3.6 L FWD R/T model. Done 94,000km (58,000 miles). Second owner, out of warranty as it's 4.5 + years old.

Really hoping that I will be covered under this recall/extended warranty (If it applies to Australian Dodge) :(

If not how much should I expect to pay for this repair?

    Cheers in Advance.

The TSB involves reprogramming the PCM, so, unless you have access to the proper STAR scan tool, it's a dealer only update.

Have you had the transmission TSB done? My vehicle used to shutter (almos buck back and forth). It would happen when sitting at a stop light, when I let off the brake it would do the bucking/shuddering until I hit the gas.

But, I just had the TSB done last night and it's fixed! Plus the gear shifts are sooo much smoother now. Well worth your time to get it done! It's TSB 18-008-13.

Hi everyone, could someone confirm if this can be done DIY with proper tools or is this a dealer only update?

    Thank you.
