  1. https://www.autoevolution.com/news/revived-dodge-journey-comes-back-from-the-nether-as-a-rugged-off-road-cuv-220847.html please make this real. ??????
  2. I'm not looking to try and race chargers or be like a hellcat or try and race my journey at all. Just noticed wranglers have the same 3.6 engine and they even have those turned to at least 300 to compare to Ford explorer ( not the st or pursuit) models.
  3. I'm in the US, 10.6 miles per gallon, the journey holds 21 gallons of fuel and the 3.6L in the DJ are a 6 speed auto stick (manual shifting).
  4. AVGing 10.6 mpg in the suburbs back and worth to work about an 1 drive on non-hwy streets. AWD 3.6 with rebuilt trans and rear diff.
  5. Is it possible to flash a new tune in a 2017 Dodge Journey SXT AWD v6 for improved performance? I see on google Stage 2 usally involves turbos and exhaust and other hardware mods to engine, But... The granny mode is way too restrictive and traction control doesn't make on bit of difference on or off. I don't understand how the same 3.6L can be so different just cause of a vehicle model from the same manufacture, but my DJ is horrible at the low end for take off and acceleration with & without T/C.
  6. Definitely bad transmission. I had the same problem with the 62TE going into limp mode (2nd gear only) and check engine light code was for Shifter solenoid, but Transmission shop told me if code is saying solenoid then best to replace trans cause if it's not the shift solenoid then the bad trans is going to break the new shift solenoid if that's all you get replaced.
  7. Recently I had to have the Six speed automatic replaced ($2,800 for a rebuild) and now there is a hard thumping coming from underneath when accelerating from a stop. Would this be coming from the transmision that was worked on or coming from another part of the driveline? It feels like gears are slipping or being skipped right before the hard thump kicks in. It's the AWD V6 version. They definitely flushed the trans fluid with the rebuild, cause the whole vehicle stuck like cat pee when I got it back, but this thumping noise is worrisome as I am back to babying the gas pedal and not racing the engine. no matter how much it may frustrate anyone that gets behind me.
  8. Electric is all torque at zero off the line, no waiting for rpm build up. My journey I think I learned what's wrong with it. P0456 leak, system test failed. Would that have anything to do with a recent ECM replacement from a recall?
  9. Is the upgraded suspension what tightens up the steering? My sxt awd feels way to loose. At highway speeds I get white knuckles as it feels like steering is drifting left and right drying to keep it centered.
  10. Update: Post recall fix to have control modular replaced. My 2017 journey sxt Awd 3.6 seems to be peppy, but still has that limp mode especially when going over sizable speed humps or inclined surfaces where even if on wheel senses less traction the system severely limits the accelerator. I got stuck in snow the first year owning my journey because of the traction control system. I no longer trust or have the confidence my journeys all wheel drive will plow through even a couple inches of snow. Like my older Saturn vue Honda J35 V6 awd would do.
  11. It's awd. I just presume it's the wheel base and weight ratio compared to what I was used too. But I'm still more than satisfied and like the setup of my journey with the spare underneath for trunk space.
  12. Coming from a honda 3.5 (Saturn vue). I noticed Ford went with a 3.5 turbo in the explorer it definitely felt more torque(y) when accelerating from zero. Is there anything that can be done to gain more torque or higher rpm's in the 3.6 pentastar of my journey? I love how comfortable they made the journey, but wish the engine was better tuned.
