  1. Looking for ideas and advice. I have a 2009 dodge journey rt 3.5 l, 123000 miles. Driving the car was stuck in 2nd gear couldn't get above 38 mph as my rpm's were at 3500. Had it towed home, upon getting it home it finally had a check engine the code P038 transmission pressure sensor. Since the transmission is dealer service only I took it to Dodge Service Center. When I took it to dodge it had no light and drove fine there. Dodge says they dont see a code or a saved code, but my transmission level was good but it was degraded, so we opted to have them flush the transmission. We will leave out the amount we paid for it. And a week without the car. I have had it back for a week today. On my way home from work with my 7 yr old in tow, the car does the same thing again. Can't get it above 38 mpg rpm at 3500. I pulled over and no check engine. Waited 15 minutes started it back up and was able to drive home without an issue. Anyone have ideas as to what in heck could be the issue or anyone experience anything like this? I am taking it back to dodge tomorrow morning and I feel like my nice is leaving the building with them and this entire vehicle.
