  1. Occasional extreamly hard shift from park to drive.?
  2. Is there a fix for this from the manufacturer ?
  3. Have a 2011 journey 3.6 V6. Have noticed a short term noise at start that sounds like oil starvation ? I am not sure but believe the 3.6 pentastar motor has variable valve timing and what im hearing is slightly loose cam chains before oil pressure can force the chain tensioners out to take up the slack .? This condition is common on other motors but im not sure if the pentastar uses oil pressured cam chain tensioners .? Has anyone else experienced this ? Motor is at 160000 klms .
  4. As we all know . , there are many posts regarding the lack of response with the remote key fobs etc. Many dashboard info. cues. saying low remote batteries etc. etc. I for one do not believe that low batteries are happening here because you can replace the fob batteries until the cows come home and still get the same message next week .? Here is what i believe is going on ... The radio antenna is mounted on the roof at the rear of the vehicle as is done across the pond . The " RF Hub " which is the little black box that receives radio signals from many sources etc. and which we are interested in is mounted just inches away from the antenna in the rear upper headliner area ! Surprise ! I spent 15 years as a car stereo installer and i know how antennas act . Here is what im gonna do ... Pull off the headliner at the area of the ant., check for water intrusion , check for good ant. ground to body , check for corrosion or bad contacts at the plugs on the RF Hub modual . Best o luck to all .
  5. Thank You ., I cant make believe that the battery shelf had rotted away !? I can only advise that this has happened with me ! You can all do what you want to do with this .?!
  6. This has got to be the strangest and most dangerous way to mount a battery , that i for one have ever seen. In reply to imoore1436 . Are you kidding ... this vehicle was purchased by my wife and came with all the dealership hooks including all oil changes , check ups ,etc. It was in for other recall work also . After all that , not one person advised anything about a battery pan . As stated , i found this rotted out mess while changing out the battery myself . If anyone disagrees that a battery falling down in front of a front wheel will not cause an out of control condition , i suggest you try it by running over a friggen battery at 60 mph.?! As for the battery cables holding the battery up because they have no slack ... are you kidding ??? The 50 cent stamped pan cost me $200.00 because its not available in aftermarket ! I just dont get this .
  7. Does the RF hub receive its signals with the radio antenna . Does the RF hub receive its signals with the radio antenna as this antenna and the hub are mounted in the same location. I ask this because my AM radio reception is crap and so is my remote reception. As an old car stereo installer from way back , i know a faulty ant. will cause this type of trouble. Any takers ?
  8. Had been having oil changes done by dealer but moved out of the area so now they wont cover them anymore. No surprise there but , while changing my own oil / filter i noticed the cheap little plastic bypass valve in the filter assy. had broken apart. So heads up when you do a filter change to check this little plastic piece of crap !
  9. My innova 3100 wont read my 2011 dodge journey . Anyone have the same issue ?
  10. 2011 Journey with 120000 klms. Cant figure this out ., why are both rear tires scuffing on inside ? Do not haul heavy loads and both rear struts seem normal . Any help appreciated.

  12. Had to replace the battery and found 2 surprises ., 1) Batt. is located on a shelf in front of the left front wheel ! 2)The cheap stamped shelf was almost rotted away when i replaced the battery . Note : If this shelf lets go and the battery falls , it will fall directly in front of the left wheel !!!! This is the stupidest design i have seen in a while and will surely cost lives !
