I am so pissed off with Dodge right now that I already started to make plans on trading this vehicle (2010 sxt) for something else.I have my eye on the 2013 Sonata 2.0T and it seems like a decent car to own.I cant keep doing this break thing every 8000 km and I don't have the patience to argue with this idiots from dodge either.The service guy had the freaking balls to tell me that my driving style is the cause of my break problems. I wanted to take off is stinking head I swear.No more American cars for me after this one cause I just had it with this nonsense.I don't care if I have to be upside down on the car I am willing to take a hit just so I can get out of owning the Journey.Terrible on gas,unique expensive wheels,crappy brakes,power issues and who knows what else comes along as time passes by.Its totally unacceptable in my opinion for someone to go through crap like this.My car has 2800 km and I barely drive it and to experience problems like this is just crazy.

We had a crazy rain storm here where I am once and my rear passenger door got filled with water.I took it to the dealership and all they did was remove the stckers in the bottom of the door to drain it.I also read somewhere that it is safe to completeley remove those stickers.I removed mine and no more water in the door.

I have an apoitment tomorrow for my 3rd brake job on my 2010 Journey with 27000 km. First brake job was at 9000 the second one was at 17000 and now the 3rd is 27000.Have warranty on brakes untill 40000 and then I am screwed. Other then the brakes my Journey has been good to me so far And I hope it stays that way for a long time.

I was hearing the same creaking sound when my 8 year old daughter sometimes is sitting there.After a close inspection I narowed down where the sound is coming from and its the black metal handle for pulling/pushing the seat forwad and back.I wiggled it slightly and it made the same noise.Then I had my daughter sit down and she was doing the same thing as when the noise happens which is here swinging her feet and the noise was replicated. Im going to the car tomorrow and will lubricate that handle and see what happens. On a side note I have appoitment tomorrow at 9 am for a brake job.This is my 3 rd one so far which will be covered by the dealer.My Journey has only 27000 km and it is a 2010 model.I have a note from Chrysler stating that my breaks will be covered until 40000 km.What a pain in the rear this breaks are.Will definetely replace with after market once the warranty is over.

If it rained than that is how you probably got the water in there or it could be melting snow.In my case we had some nasty rain that day and that is when i noticed the water in there.

What other tire size can fit on my stock 19" rims other than the crappy Kumho tires that i have now on my 2010 Journey? I am just trying an idea what my options are when I decide to get winters so please chime in with your input. I have read lots of thread and i am still confused as hell so I apologize for the blond moment i am experiencing right now. Cheers!

So now something else is happening ...yesterday I was picking up my wife from work and as I drive down the road my radio just turned off and my turn signals and A/C went dead as well. I originally thought maybe a fuse blew up or something but than when I got home I turned off and turned the car back on and everything came back to normal. I hope this is not a sign of things to come knock on wood.

Yeah I did that but the problem is gonna be back whit the next rain again.Need to find out how the water is getting in so I can seal the hole.

My 2010 Journey is having a problem on rainy days where the rear right door fills up inside with water and I have to peel a sticker on the bottom to drain. I cant figure it out on how the water is getting inside.Anyone experienced anything like this and what was your solution?

I've seen a dozen R/T's at my local dealer.I am strongly considering trading in my 2010 SXT for a new 2012 R/T. I want the ones with the different fascias though so that is why I am still taking my time.

I would say that if your problems still continue use your local lemon laws and give that lemon back to them.No one should have to pay for a new car and go through nonsense like this,period. Good Luck to you bud and let us know how it goes.

Good for you bud I also will not buy from Dodge or Chrysler ever again and not cause the my car is bad but cause of the way the dealer has treated me and my wife. They don't deserve my money so I will in the future go with something else other than the big trio. Im happy for you that it finally worked out for you and good luck with your edge and hopefully it will treat you better than your Journey did.

Had the same problem on my 2008 Caliber and they were giving me the run around so i traded that piece of crap for my Journey sxt.

I have a 2010 Journey sxt and have changed brakes and rotors front and back once when the vehicle was at 9000 km.I received a letter stating that they are extending the break warranty.Now my journey has 17000 km and i am starting to feel my breaks acting funny a little and the steering wheel shakes I think at highway speeds. I wish we can sue the crap out of this bastards that play with peoples life's with faulty breaks.I am in British Columbia,Canada if that maters.

You make very good points and I think we definitely need to join up together and do this if we want to see something done about this brake issue. I just recently received a letter from Chrysler stating that they will extend the warranty on the brakes and I had mine done once when I had like around 10 000 kms which is really crazy. I will do all the things you mentioned above and file a complain about this nonsense with the brakes.I think when they repair the brakes the should not slap the same crappy ones again and install better brakes so the problem does not come back.

I hope you get it sorted out for you I dont have that radio so I guess I don't have to worry about it.I have the DVD one with no HD or backup camera and not U-Connect either. I made an appointment for Tuesday and then 3 hours later the dealership called me telling me that on Tuesday they wont have the necessary parts so they said I have to go on Wednesday. Will see what happens and hopefully they wont break something else in the process.

The Occupant Restraint Controller (ORC) module may activate two Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC's) that cannot be cleared. Will make an appointment soon and sort this out.

So any news on the front fascia yet?I am holding out till this comes out and wont get the new journey without that.

Happy to hear that you are enjoying your ride and I own the 2010 sxt and I think is a nice car.And about the brakes I think all the journey have this problem but I'm not sure about the 2011 model.I had to replace the front bake pads and rotors to after only 12000 km. I read on here similar problems by a lot of people and if you want this problem to stop repeating you need to get after market pads and rotors or other wise it will be repeating all over again.

2010 Journey sxt here and have the same noise when starting the car in a cold weather.

That is great to know since I am considering to trade in my 2010 for a 2011.Did dodge fix the brake issues on the 2011?And what about the gas consumption..is it better now and or is it just the same. I take it as you stated that the 2011 is more powerful than the 2010 cause i really think dodge messed up on the 2010 models. I might go to the nearest dealer soon and try one out for my self maybe that is the only way to find out I guess. Hey enjoy your new ride by the way.

Please let me know how the 2011 Journey is when you get it.I'm thinking about trading in my 2010 for the 2011 but I'm scared and cant make my mind up.I'm currently still paying for my Journey so don't know how getting the new Journey will affect me.My dealer sent me a letter stating that they are gonna give me a better interest rate if I upgrade since I never missed a payment in the year of owning the journey. I like the new interior in the journey but what I'm really interested in is if the new Journey gets better gas mileage and some specific numbers about it.Currently I'm getting around 14.5 and I'm really disappointed with that. Also I like to know the difference in power compare to the 2010 since you owned one you could be of great help to me in deciding if i should go forward with this or just stick with my current Journey. I never have had any problems except the bakes in the front which were replaced by the dealer for free but I hope they fixed this issue on the new ones.
