Smart thinking..I was looking at some Mitsubishi cars and noticed that the paddles where on the column which makes sense. This will be my project in the near future.I even found some online company that makes kits that can be installed.

Thanks for the heads up.I will definitely do my homework before I make any kind of attempt to trade in for anything but domestic. Buying a car is not the same as it used to be way back.Now is like trying to deal with snake oil salesman.

Sorry to see that you are having so many problems with this vehicle.I agree that for a such a new vehicle you should not have to go through this BS.In my opinion Dodge Customer service is pure crap and they dont know what the hell they are talking about. You should check your local Lemon laws and you should sue them for selling you a Lemon.I almost traded in my 2010 DJ for a 2011 Crew but midway I changed my mind and told them to shove it.At the moment I am looking around for something other than domestic so I can trade in my 2010 DJ and I made a promise to my self that I would never ever buy again anything domestic. The 2009 Journey from what I have seen are the most problematic ones since they are the first generation vehicle.My advice to you is to try and purchase 2012 Journey which has more power and better stiling all around. In the long run you will save in money and in headaches. Just checked out the link you provided and it seems lik good deal but I would not buy it if it was me.The breaks are crap on this cars and the one on the link has close to 80 000 on the odometer as well.Just use that money as a down payment on a new Journey and you wont regret it trust me.

I was just gonna spray the schrome part of my center console where the ac wents are.I just hate the way it looks and I rather have it all black to match the rest of the dash. No I actually have not but i will try and hope they carry this stuff.I am just not willing to shell out $30 for something that costs elsewhere 6-7 dollars the most. If I ever manage to do this i will update this thread with pictures .

What a joke...here in Canada they sell this stuff for $30.00 a can??? While in the US its like$6.00.What a rip off and I really wanted to use this stuff on my Journey's 2010 dash. Oh well so much for that.

Just saw this thread and had to reply.I have the same issue with my drivers side window.It makes a awfull squeaky sound when going up or down. I have to figure a way to stop this as is anoying as hell.

Nope I have tried latest IE,Chrome and Firefox and the problem is still there so obviously its a Forum problem and not a browser problem.

So I guess I am not alone facing this problem.Wonder if the mods here are planing on doing something about it.

I am using the latest FireFox and I cant see any embeded pictures on this forum.When I click on a atached picture the screen turns black and nothing comes up. Any ideas? Cheers!

Im thinking of using plati dip on the chrome part of the dash cause I am not liking the chrome on there. Has anyone done this already and if so can someone post some pics so I can see how it looks. Cheers!

Sorry to see you having the same problem like many of us.And just to update this thread a little I eventualy did not trade in my 2010 DJ for the 2011 Crew.The dealer was tryin to be a smart ass and offered me $15000 for my DJ with only 28000 Km.I told him to take his DJ Crew and shove it where the sun dont shine. I will fix my brakes and will drive my DJ untill the wheels fall off.The car runs lke a dream it is only the brakes that are an issue.Other than that not a single problem.I use full synthetic on this car and take care of it very well. My local dealer is offering a 2011 DJ Crew and want to trade in my 2010 but I am reluctant in doing this as I don't want to give up one problem for another. So my question is did they fix the brake issues of the previous models and is there anything else I should be aware of.I test drove the vehicle and was blown away the way it felt.It was like a totally different vehicle compared to my 2010.I would like to get as much info as possible before I even agree to this deal cause I am going to be upside down but I don't care cause the breaks on my 2010 are a major pain in my rear end right now and i am very frustrated. So I have been thinking lately a lot about starting a Class Action for the brakes on our Journeys and was wondering who would like to join in so we can force this company to do something about this brake issues. I am looking around for a good Class Action Law Firm that can take this to court and shove it down their throats. We need to do something about this nonsense or else they will never admit that they screwed up big time on this vehicles.My car has only 28000 km and now I am on my 3rd break job.I went to the dealership to see if they will repair them under warranty and they flatly refused to do so and blamed my driving style as a factor in my brake problem.I just cant sit around and take this crap anymore. I have a 2010 and on several occasions the radio,turn signals and everything else inside have turned of while in motion.Had to stop turn the car off and then restart to get everything back,very frustrating.

Yeah I think you are right.And my 2010 DJ has no room on the steering wheel cause the volume buttons are there.The 2011 and 2012 are better suited for this cause all the button are on the front.Also I was watching a vid on Youtube and the people from Mastershift were claiming they can install paddle shifters on any model car. Maybe I will shoot an email to hurst and ask them about this.I think the Journeys could look great with the paddle shifters.

I was doing some searching on the net regarding this mod and saw how someone installed Paddle Shifters on the Auto stick Charger.So naturally my curiosity kicked in and was wondering if our Journeys are suited for this kind of mod.I know Hurst sells Paddle shifter kits but I was just looking for some input from more knowledgeable peeps on here.

Then I will tell them to stick their offer where the sun don't shine. If they can't offer at least $20.000 I probobly won't be interested in anything else they have to say.They are selling used Journeys on their lot over $20.000 and they also have over 60000 plus kilometers on them. My DJ looks like it just came off the showroom I only drive it to work and back and my work is like 10 blocks away.And of course I drive it to the store and here and there but no long trips yet.

I also traded in a Caliber for my DJ and never felt sorry for doing it. I will take everyones advise and see where this will lead.Hopefully will have a new DJ to play with. Cheers guys!

I just recieved a leter from my local dealer where I bought my 2010 Journey SXT stating that I have been pre qualified for an invitation only event.It also says that the dealership is in imidiate need of aquiring over 36 pre owned vehicles in order to fill specific requests for these high demand vehicles.The local area is expiriencing a critical shortage of low milege pre owned vehicles.Our records indicate that you may curently own one of these vehicles and out Managers may buy back your vehicle above market value,even if you owe more than its appraised value. There is more in the letter that will take a while for me to type but I just wanted to see if anyone else recieved such a letter.This just sounds so unusual I dont know what to make of it.I would definetely swap for a newer Journey if this was legit but I dont know. My DJ is hardly used and has 28000 km and its a 2010 by the way. Also I am located in B.C Canada if that maters at all. Cheers!
