  1. Yep, part is to arrive on the 31st - they are changing the whole tranny assembly. Can't get a loaner vehicle out of them though.
  2. And then... later this morning the tranny went completely. Again. Back in the shop for another two weeks, I presume.
  3. In the shop for two weeks - it's better, but now hard shift from R to D - and misses a gear or two until it warms up. Grr.
  4. I have a 2009 R/T - V6 of course. Took it into the dealer at 52500km and told them it was shifting hard - especially at 3-4 gear. The charged me $80 to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. On to 55500km - tranny is completely blown... Journey in the shop getting a new tranny under warranty, and I will be demanding my $80 back!
  5. Mice in the back seat storage containers.
  6. Using a handy dandy converter, mpg converter I would say that I average 17.4 mpg in the city - but only 14.7 mpg in the cold and snowy weather. (R/T AWD - 3.5L).
  7. Had the report back from the shop, and it turns out the battery was damaged in the fender bender my wife had a week or two back. No major issues with that until the cold snap hit - then the problem arose. Getting it fixed, and I have a rental Charger in the meantime!
  8. Turns out the shudder was from bad ice buildup in the rim - good call RAV!
  9. Some really cold (-30 C) weather here in Calgary over the last week. I wasn't able to plug my journey in - and lo and behold it wouldn't start. Boosted it, ran it, and then shut it off to see if it would start again. Nada, nothing, zilch. Had to get it towed to the dealer - tow truck driver said he had hauled quite a few journeys in the last day or two. Waiting to hear from the dealer as to what the problem is. Anyone hear of an inherent problem with the Journey in cold weather?
  10. My AWD with the 19" worked really well in teh deep snow we had here. Developed a really bad shake the next day and took it in to the dealer to get it checked out. They said that they have had a lot in to see them as snow gets stuck in the rims and throws off the balance. Sprayed the packed snow and ice off and back to a smooth ride!
  11. Nope, she hit a Mazda Miata that had spun out in front of her. That in itself would have been quite satisfying if she hadn't taken out the front corner lights on the journey!
  12. Hey all. Had my 09 Journey - inferno RT with nav, video, leather, sunroof - for 2 months now. Loving it so far, until today when the wife got into a little smash up in the bad snow we've had in Alberta! Also just before, developed a REALLY bad shudder at 60/70kmh. (Anyone have any idea what this could be?) So I have to get it into the mechanic and the body shop now. Doh!
