  1. I have had a few instances. One morning it was out for a couple of hours, but it was an issue with Sirius. Another is location, there is one local road where I live that I always get intermittent signal, for about 2 miles. The road is right up against a cliff, that if I had to guess is anywhere from 500 ft to 700 ft. I have lost power to my unit on 3 different occasions and I am waiting until it happens again and then I'll rush to the dealer to troubleshoot. One thing about intermittent electrical issues is that they are hard to nail down unless it is happening right then.
  2. Personally I like the look of the 19 inch (non-chrome clad) rims. That is what I have so I am biased. I also was only able to drive Journeys with the 19 inch rims on the models at the dealership. If you are getting an AWD model, they all have the 19 inch rims.
  3. Pin arrived today - I tried to go fill my truck up and the wife put the kabosh on that...lol
  4. I just received mine today. It took almost 4 weeks to the day. Just have to get the PIN now and I'll be set.

    mopar coupon

Sorry if it sounded like I was busting your stones, I was not. I guess I am confused regarding needing to purchase parts or accessories at the parts counter. The way I understood the post was that you had a warranty claim and got a $50 coupon to use at the parts counter. I guess I assumed that it was to be used for the warranty. sheesh...lol

    mopar coupon

Why in the world would they expect you to use a $50 coupon for a warranty issue? I had a warranty repair (leaking right front axle seal) and it was free, not to mention I got a loaner car while they were doing the repair.
  8. It actually had some smoke coming out from underneath, the fluid burning off, and of course that is when the smell was the worst. Like I said the seal resolved everything and as soon as I get the info on the part, I will post it. I am still happy with the Journey!!

    Leaking Fluid

Well at about 800 miles I started getting the stench smell, it was coming from the right front. It was also leaking fluid. I took it back and they changed a seal. The leak stopped but there still is a faint smell, which is lessening everyday. I used to work in a diesel shop and trust me gear oil smells to high heaven when burnt. The fluid was leaking on to the engine and caused the smell. until it completely burns off there will be an odor. Since having the seal replaced we took a 300 mile trip and it was flawless. I will try to get the part # and full part description off the paperwork and list it for all to view.
  10. I've never heard of a 5 gallon reference for low fuel warning. It wouldn't make sense, because that would be a 1/4 tank in the Journey and would have been 1/3 tank in my old Bonneville. A 20 gallon tank in these days is pretty large. I have always been under the impression that it was approx. 1 gallon.
  11. My Journey is white, so it would be hard to notice but it matches perfectly.
  12. Hey at the least the Engine and Drivetrain are Warrantied for life. Even if you live in Canada and don't have the same warranty, the fact that they warranty it for life should say something.
  13. Here is everything you need to know about Kumho Tires - Porsche & Mercedes are using them now as well. They originated in Korea and are now all over the place. 2005 - KUMHO TIRE USA moves headquarters to larger location in Rancho Cucamonga, California http://www.kumhousa.com/history.do
  14. We chose the gas card for the following reasons. $4 / Gallon of Gas = $1800 total savings - $600 / yr = $50 / month $5 / Gallon of Gas = $3600 total savings - $1200 / yr = 100 / month I am sorry to say that I think gas will average $5 / Gallon over the 3 yr period. I hope I'm wrong, but gas has gone up so rapidly lately and barring something spectacular I don't see it coming down any time soon, if ever. As far as the depreciating, it's not like you can write it off on your taxes. I figured that I would rather apply the monthly gas savings to my monthly car payment. From my understanding it doesn't matter how you use the gas, you are allotted 600 gallons / year, even if you don't keep the car for three years.
  15. I can see it now - you are walking around the showroom passing out cigars to all the other expectant Journey folks...lol Congrats - I hope it gets there soon.
  16. Good Luck with your search! I did want Black, but I was willing to flex. The only colors the wife/boss did NOT want were the Inferno Red, Melbourne Green and Deep Water Blue, so anything else was acceptable to her. :slapfight: Once again I hope you find your ride - Take Care!
  17. That's odd - Down here in Pittsburgh, from what I am being told, everything that is easier to find is AWD and not FWD. There was a young lady looking for a FWD with V6 3rd Row Seat and Sun Roof and he could not find anything close to what she was looking for. I was looking for exactly what I got. My salesman did what is called a dealer locate, on what I was looking for (see my signature) and found one like I wanted. He also found 6-8 others with 1 or 2 additional options I didn't ask for, but they were on a print out for me to look at. I know they did have a White AWD with 3rd row seat and loaded as of last Thursday the 29th. My Journey was actually found in Bedford Ohio, which is about 125 mi. away from Pittsburgh. Have you asked your dealer to do a locate? I wonder what kind of hoops you would have to jump through to pull one from the states. I was going to order one and I am glad I didn't based on what I am hearing. It sounds as if they are being snagged up as they are made.
