  1. How do you determine what map version you have on your Journey? Does it show what version when you start the car? I take delivery of my Journey on Tuesday so I haven't fumbled with it, and I'd like to make certain my maps are as up to date as possible. Thanks! Xphyle
  2. Blame your dealer. If you search these threads, you'll see that this was a known problem and should have been fixed around the 15th of March or so. I'll try to find the thread for you. http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?showtopic=100 http://www.dodgejourneyforum.com/index.php?showtopic=30 There you go. It was a "rapid response recall". 3. I'll be picking up my Journey on Tuesday at the dealer along with my "Refuel America" card that you get for buying a Dodge prior to June 2nd. That will lock gas prices at $2.99 for me for the next 3 years, and was also a major deciding factor for me when shopping for cars and deciding on the Journey. Can't Wait! Xphyle
  4. I'll get all that info as well as the VIN # for you, Rob. Great to be here. Traded in my baby, 04 Honda Element for this vehicle. They had a wonderful forum also and I'm looking forward to speaking with all of you as well. Best, Xphyle
  5. Thanks Rob. The dealership had to go out to 500 miles to find one with a Nav and they had Red, Black and Blue, but the Red had sold, so I took the black. I'll post the vin as soon as I pick it up which will be either Tuesday night or Wednesday. The wife and I may go look at it tomorrow, if so, I'll note it. Best, Xphyle
  6. Hey all. I just got off the phone with the dealer and was told that the part they are waiting for is a "MODULE" that needs replaced. Apparently this isn't a new recall, but something that was supposed to have been done by all dealers for their current stock of Journeys. This Journey was picked up and transferred from a dealership in Massachusetts, the dealership there didn't complete the work. My local dealership does not have this part because they only got enough to cover the Journeys they had on their lot at the time. Part will arrive Tuesday. Xphyle
  7. Hi all. I was planning on picking up my Journey at the dealership tomorrow, but just got a call from them telling me they were just notified of a recall and they are not allowed to let me take possession of the vehicle now until the recalled item is fixed. They are waiting on the part and hope to have the issues resolved within the week. At this time they were unable to tell me what the nature of the recall was. I'm sure it will be worth the wait as it took a long time for me to find a Journey that was loaded with all the options INCLUDING the Nav system which was a pain to find. Glad to find this forum. 8. Hi All! This is my first post to this forum. Glad to be here and will plan to spend lots of time here in the near future. I just wanted everyone to know that I was planning to pick up my new loaded Black Journey R/T AWD tomorrow at the dealer. Today I received a call from the dealer saying that they were just notified about a Journey recall and that because they are awaiting the part to fix the vehicle, I will not be able to take possession of the vehicle until the problem is fixed. They assume they should have the part within a week, however, they salesperson will get more information this afternoon and call me back to let me know exactly what the nature of the recall is and exactly when they should expect to see the part come in. I'm really bummed, as I was looking forward to getting the Journey. It took a while to find one here in the CT area that had the Navigation system included, but they finally found one and it arrived at the dealership just yesterday. Anyone have any more info about this recall? I read in another thread about the airbag light not going off, and something about a whistle noise, and finally another thread about leaky sunroofs. I'll post when I have more information later today. Best, Xphyle
