  1. Yup, I'll post back here if I get any luck with it.
  2. I may just plug in, try downloading the current map if I'm even able to, I do know the newer cars no longer have that level of access to the ECU through the OBD2 port, and require special tools to open and directly connect to the EEROM in the ECU.
  3. Not really sure I'm new on the subject, I'm using the MPPS V13 Chip Tuning cable to read and write map files to the ECU
  4. Just wounding if anyone has done this yet, I've been looking to get into the subject, I have remap files for another car I own and got a huge performance boost, better shifting, and disabled the speed limiter (its a smart car, was limited to 82 mph). I can't seem to find a whole lot on remapping dodge brand though, anyone with any insight on this subject?
  5. Well I did a closer look earlier and it appears I would just need to sodder the pins into the top portion, I'm an Aerospace Mechanic so shouldn’t be too difficult for me, just wounding if anyone had any additional insight into this topic.
  6. Hi all, I just upgraded my headlights (both hi and low beams) to Xenon HID lights, I had to use two other things to make this possible, one was a relay harness and the other was a capacitor for the relay. While wiring these up I pulled the top of the engine fuse box off to see if I could add the two relays into the box itself, (there is room and cutouts where the relays DO fit). I am wondering is there a way to get the connectors and maybe rewire it to have the relays work out of the engine fuse box. (For astatic looks, would look better than the wires and relays hanging out or tucked away). I was thinking I might be able to get any old dodge fuse box as mine has the layout and markings for diesel engines, other heaters that my car does not have and even one spot for a siren? (Good to know dodge could be used for law enforcement lol). Does anyone know if these are universal? It does look as if I can add the actual wires to the very bottom of the box, I think I just need to sodder connectors into the top portion. Has anyone any knowledge of these fuse boxes as far as compatibility between dodge models, or about adding fuses and relays?
  7. So I did figure it out, just encase anyone else runs accross the same issue, I added in a 16V (your alternator will sometimes charge up to 14v so stick with a 16v to be safe) 1000UF (uf is the rating for how much energy the capcaitor will be able to store) capacitor and the flicker issues are gone. Just search ebay for them, thats what I did, I paid like $3 for ten of them.
  8. Simple question, what type of socket is the plug for the front turn signal, the one with three wires? I dont need the 3157 end (the side the bulb goes in) but the plug that comes from the car to the socket.
  9. So I'm a service member and wanted to take my journey around the world with me, So in the United Kingdom, your park lights need to be white (US they are a dim amber), so I got these bulbs (Pic attached) and they work great when the car engine is off anyways. I had to put the resistor in for the turn signal (amber color) to avoid the "hyper flashing" and so everything works as it should, however when I power the car up, when park lights are off, I get the bulb giving me both amber and white for a turn signal (its suppose to alternate between the two colors if the park lights where on), and when the park lights are on, I get a slight flicker from the driver side one but not the passenger side one. If the white park lights are on, and I turn my signal on, it works the right way by going from amber to white to amber again. Anyone have any ideas? Maybe a relay with a capacitor? Link of them working (with engine off) https://fbcdn-video-g-a.akamaihd.net/hvideo-ak-xpa1/v/t43.1792-2/10930572_857430654320283_1493506455_n.mp4?rl=1500&vabr=309&oh=6c760d2b28e85a3cc4f41c8541c68174&oe=54BECCDE&__gda__=1421790469_36283d40a641c362d160ef3dfc945ccd
  10. It has provided some great info for me actually, I hope the relay works out without the need for the cap, do you have any other info to go with that, such as the type of cap to use, and how to wire it correctly?
  11. Update So I found this... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Xenon-HID-Conversion-Kit-Relay-Wiring-Harness-9005-9006-H1-H3-H7-H8-H9-H11-/351250882574?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item51c82f200e I am woundering though if I can use a resistor like I did with my LED lights instead of getting this relay system?
  12. Do you have a link to the relay harness you bought? I'm trying to get mine to work now, I'm using 6000k Diamond White ones. I'm using 35w for normal driving, and 55w for high beams. I'm driving a 2013 Dodge Journey SXT, 2.4L The issue I'm having is they work when the car engine is not running, but once I turn the engine on, they shut off on me, I get no pop up messages in the car or anything (I recently installed LED turn bulbs and didn’t put resistors, they went into "hyper flash" mode, so did some digging and round out they needed the relays) Can I use the same relay as I would have in my LED lights, or is there a special one I need to get? Link to the Xenon HID's I bought for mine. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AC-35W-55W-HID-Xenon-Conversion-Kit-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H9-H11-9005-9006-HB3-HB4-/231274962100?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&var=&hash=item35d90fdcb4
