Maybe it is the same way then for front fog lights. Turn ON the parking lights or the low beam headlights and pull out on the end of the multifunction lever.

They are rear fogs. Similar to waht the new Mini Coopers have as an option.

They only thing the could be. I believe they turn on with the lights.

Reverse lights should be clear, unless its different in in europe

Yes they are rear fog lights. It's law here in Europe to have at least one high density light at the back. They are normally 21Watt (same as stop lights). Not all cars have two seperate lights but have a fog lamp on one side and a reverse light on the other. Depending if you drive on the right or left depends which way round the lights are. For example here in the UK (left hand traffic, right hand drive) a single fog light has to be on the outside of the car (basically same side as the driver). These fog lights can't be too high either, which is why you often see them in bumpers or the lowest light in a lamp stack.

To turn them on in a Journey first turn the lights on. Next pull out the end of the stalk to get the front fogs on, then turn the end of the stalk again for the rear lights to work. when the lights are switched off it automatically turns off all the fogs at the same time -otherwise you'll dazzle people next day when it's clear. Many idiots in other cars forget to switch their fogs off the day after it's been foggy, and it's blinding!
