Outside Lights dimming

Recommended Posts

I have started to notice that the outside lights on my Journey are pulsating when at idle. I have not noticed it while the engine is above idle. I turned off the Mygig and temp control system but it does not seem to help. I also covered up the auto sensor to make sure that it was not getting some wierd reflection. Anyone else having this problem? I am tempted to contact the dealer but...

I have the same problem and my Journey only has 2100kms on it. It must be a normal thing. I think that if I took it into the dealer they would look at me funny say something just to make me happy and kick me out the door. Has anyone out there found a solution to this?

I used to own a 1998 Saturn SL2 and had the same problem. I replaced the alternator - no change. I then changed the battery and that is what made a difference. But I can't think that my battery would be shot after only owning the vehicle for a month or so. The manufacture date is 12/09. So I wouldn't think that it the battery is the problem, but hey, you never know.

Never think that just because something is new it is not broke. Batteries are mass produced, so if it is the battery, it should still be under the 12/12 warranty. Everything is covered for 12 months or 12k miles whatever comes first.
